Rhode Island fan base ranked No. 3 among American minor league markets

Did anyone else see the Sports Business Journal and its list? PawSox and P-Bruins fans didn't do too bad, did they?

What's more, Portland, home of the Double-A team, placed No. 5. And Springfield, Mass. was No. 12 (especially good when you bear in mind that 241 different markets were listed).

I do find that very interesting. Minor League ball, has mostly local fans, so they dont change rapidly like the MLB. Their is so much coverage in the MLB, that you can pratically be a fan anywhere. Never watched a sea dog game, but the Pawsox have some good fans their. Most of them come to watch the future stars rise up to the majors. Thats a good accomplishment for the seadogs, 5 is great, as you said, as of 241 other markets.
