The idea that the only thing Shaq had going for him was size is just flat out false. He was incredibly agile for someone his size' date=' and had excellent touch around the rim.[/quote']

I noted this earlier, right on. He was agile, he had finesse, everyone overlooks that because he definitely did dunk on people more often than he used his other skills close to the hoop. Anyone who says otherwise never took the time to legitimately watch him play.

I don't think anyone can touch Jordan' date=' he was the ultimate leader, the ultimate scorer, and the ultimate defender.[/quote']

Yeah, imagine a baseball player who hits .350, slugs 50 homers, steals 50 bases, never strikes out when the game's on the line, and is the best at fielding the ball and throwing people out. That's what Jordan was to basketball, he did everything about as good as you could do it. Baseball doesn't have an obvious #1 all-time great, basketball definitely does.

I think the 5 greatest centers of all time, in no particular order, have to be:

Shaq

Wilt

Kareem

Hakeem

Russell

A case could be made for David Robinson and Patrick Ewing as well.

I think Kareem is 1, Wilt is 2, Shaq 3, Hakeem 4, Russell 5a and Ewing 5b because I'm a homer.
