Seem to be the real deal which I am pleased to see. They moved quickly enough to get players, good young hungry players, in during the last transfer window and have got rid of Hodgson and put our most famous player and ex manager back in charge after 20 years and our fortunes have turned around. There's a real buzz about the place again. You guys were right about them so far, they're ok.

Sure, when they took over we had a manager (coach) who was universally despised by the support. They gave him a chance and when they saw it wasn't working they replaced him with one of our legends which was a shrewd move. They appointed a technical guy i.e. someone who buys into your baseball concept of measurement (the whole moneyball thing) and applies it to football players and made him Head of Football Strategy which no team has had before and his job is getting the players. Our star player dropped a bombshell saying he wanted to leave a few days before the end of the transfer window and they responded by using the ?50m they got for him to buy two young hungry players which now looks like a great deal and they didn't quibble about spending big on these guys albeit what they got in from the big money transfer but still after our last American owners who took the transfer money this was good.

 

They have tried to get the disenfranchised supporters back on side and to this end reduced the price of one game significantly so young supporters could fill the ground. That was good. It's difficult to get across the greed of football in this country. The owners don't give a s*** about the support and rip them off in some many ways and yet we still turn up out of loyalty and love for the club. The police line the streets and have police dogs snarling at us, they treat us like s*** and our governing bodies trewat us like s*** too so when a little good is shown it's a big deal. They have also brought the lovely Linda to games and she'd definately get a game if you know what I mean.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to improve us and get us back where we belong.

BTW, that wasn't just any old team who he made to look shite, it was Manchester United the enemy and currently top of the league.
