I didn't state it like that. I said I was tired of getting s*** from people on the site(I didnt want to call them out). I'm cool with a lot of people on this site. Then theres these bad asses that think they can come here and just insult people like its all good. Then they never get called out for it. The mods see it when I do it but when someone else is getting ******** from people they never call them out.

I think people are talking about this because Brees is usually the first QB to be drafted, near the end of the 1st round, while Rivers is usually a 4th round pick, so it doesn't seem to make much sense. The thing is, logically if you thought Rivers was going to have a monster year, it would make sense to get an elite RB/WR when you got Brees and to draft Rivers in round 3 or 4

Yeah Brees for Rivers is a bad trade, I looked at ESPN's Live Draft results and Brees the 7th pick on average while Rivers is the 32nd pick on average. I could understand Brees for Manning, or even Brees for Brady, but certainly not Rivers. Not to mention Vincent Jackson is going to miss at least half the season

Your opinion, which is really a bunch of pom pom waving at this point, doesn't unshitty this trade. I like this league because it's competitive and a bunch of the regulars in it know the game (fantasy FB, that is), which means nobody is getting a leg up by grabbing better players from a fool with his heart on his sleeve. It's not about what you think Rivers will do, or the asinine belief in some video game curse, it's about how you allowed someone to get better without really paying (not in terms of value). It's s*****, no getting around that.

Maybe its a bad trade because Brees is better in real life and fantasy and it makes no sense to trade a better player for a lesser player? Rivers is going to be without Vincent Jackson for what appears to be the whole year (6 game suspension and it appears he will be traded or sit out whole year) and possibly Marcus McNeil. Brees went in early 2nd round and Brees went in mid 3, this trade makes no sense, its basically trading a 2nd rounder for a 3rd rounder.

No I don't, I was simply trying to make it clear to you by posting the Live draft results. Of course you consider it crying, it's common for people catching criticism to try and portray it as whining. It's bad trade because Brees typically scores more in FFB than Rivers, and not by just a little bit, plays in an offensive scheme that will likely continue to make him more productive, and Rivers will be missing his favorite target from last year. This is the patently obvious logical argument that shouldn't even require statement, but for you it apparently does.

 

I'm not trolling anywhere. I could care less if you respond to what I post, because, by and large, my posts are responses themselves. It cracks me up how many people all say the same thing when their ideas are challenged. It's always, "if you don't like it, then ignore me", or something along those lines. The trade still doesn't make sense, I'm a Steelers fan and I wouldn't do a dumb trade just to get one of my favorite players, yeah I might target a few guys on my team but I wouldn't do a dumb trade just to get them.

 

I don't care what you do, I really don't, money isn't even the reason I joined, I joined for a competitive league and my team already got screwed by an auto-draft because I missed draft and it wouldn't allow my co-manager to draft for me when I was gone.

This is only partially true. Many of the moderators discuss these things over private messages, so you won't see when another poster is being disciplined. Granted, I'm not saying that there aren't double standards, but it's certainly not the world vs. you, although it may appear to be that way in this thread.

 

On the other hand, I do agree that Brees for Rivers is NOT a fair trade, and I would veto it if I had the power, but I think that many people took an unnecessarily personal turn to the thread, which caused it to result in what we had here.
