There have been 4 men on base, and 3 of them have turned into outs. Texas has failed to get to Lester early, and I wouldn't be surprised if they will regret these innings.

Two more bad plays this inning that have led to base runners, no errors on anything. Apparently its strikeout or nothing for Jon.

Funny, so Lester strikeouts the batter, but with bad execution on defending steals, another run comes in anyway. This team needs to get its s*** together.

If the score stays as is, the sox will have scored 9 runs in 4 games at home against the Rangers with only one of them being against a truly good pitcher (Lee). Those who like to hide their heads in the sand about the sox offense should try coming up for air every now and then.

In the words of John McEnroe, "You cannot be serious." That's low, even for you. And I'm used to stupid crap from you.

So many people were jumping on me when the sox injuries happened and I said that the O would be hurt. I heard a ton of "we'll be fine", "our offense is great!1!!1!", and we can "get by." Well, you're a week away at least from getting VMart back at C, and at least 3 weeks away from getting Pedroia or Vtek back. Without those guys, the team bands together for a short while, then will revert to their standard level of replacement player. I caught a ton of s*** for it and it is about to be proven right, again.

It's also ignorant to expect a hell of a lot from such an injury stricken lineup. The Sox lineup is without Pedroia, Vmart, Ellsbury, Hermida, and Drew has sat out a couple of the games. Also, in addition to Lee, the Sox offense has faced Hunter and Wilson. Tommy Hunter had flashes of brilliance last season, and is 6-0 with a 2.39 ERA, and if the score holds, CJ Wilson will be 8-5 with a 3.23 ERA. Cliff Lee wasn't the only good pitcher they faced in the series.

I agree with you that the injuries will take their toll on the offense. That's obvious, and I'm not sure who would challenge that. However, the Sox offense faced more good pitchers than Cliff Lee. In addition, when the Sox offense does succeed, it isn't always because the pitcher they faced was bad, hurt, sick, or whatever. You have to give credit to the Sox offense where it's due.

CJ Wilson is a truly good pitcher. He was hiding in the bullpen for a while, but he's made the transition incredibly well, and he's very talented.

I know nothing of him. Based on what I've seen today, I'm not going to disagree.

The Rangers are for real, it appears.

I'd love to see some Kilo-Metrics.

There's simply nowhere to hide stupidity, as my dad always used to say.

The crux of the argument:

While injuries have taken their toll on the lineup, they can still score runs, and when they do, it's not always because of some stupid excuse "The pitcher was dizzy, the manager should have taken him out" blablaba.

Texas has some good pitching, which is the reason they're a contender, so i suppose if the Yankees get shut down a couple times by some good pitching i'll pronounce their offense dead in the water?

The stats (You know, those that Jaco likes so much when they suit his argument) show that, while weakened, the Sox lineup can still produce, but a couple of good pitchers on good nights can shut down anyone, not just the Sox.

But please, continue to make excuses when the Sox hit a good pitcher or when they go on a tear for a couple weeks (even with the scrubs) then conveniently ignore these topics you're now bringing up. It's typical.

s***, is it hot. And humid.

Bowden looks good. He's not done. He's only 23. I still have hope for him. Even if he gets traded.

I think the bullpen may be a great way for Bowden to salvage his career.I don't remember him looking this good before. And if he does well, he may get a shot to start somewhere along the line.
