You ever hit against someone who throws 80+ with a 62 MPH curveball?

Yeah, hitting is extremely difficult.

i never said it wasn't hard. but as a former goalie block a 80 mph frozen piece of rubber threw traffic that you can barely see.

Hard-pitch softball, dude who throws 103.

Nothing else to say about that.

imagine if the fielder could check the baserunners

No need.

There were not many baserunners. I sure as hell didn't get anything more than a foul. Through the whole game. Three At-bats.

theres a talksox dating service? lol

lol

And regarding the unrealistic video games, I remember in NBA Live 2005 and 06, Manu Ginobilli would absolutely light it up, he'd always score like 85 points against me. He was just unstoppable, and then Kobe Bryant may have scored like... 20 or so.

Also, MVP 2005, 07 roster update, I recall Lugo getting like 200 hits, and the Sox having Drew, Ortiz, Lowell and Manny all hitting 40 HR's, and also, I remember no one ever had more than like 180 K's in a season. It's really ridiculous.

Another old unrealistic game, forget what the franchise was, but Mark Hendrickson used to always lead the league with ridiculously low ERA's, we're talking like 1.25, and 1.38 or something, while guys like Zito would be in second place with like 2.20 or something. I mean, how does Mark Hendrickson lead the league in ERA?

There is no way anyone in a softball league throws 103. Otherwise He'd be in the majors ;)

You do know the softball mound is half the distance right?

Speed is measured when the ball comes out of the hand, doesn't matter if the mound is 60 ft or 60 miles away. Now reaction time on the other hand would be a viable measurement

Yeah but the shorter distance and the different wind-up plus the higher mound all help pitcher's velocity.

Those Casey-Stengel style windups are not viable from 60 ft, champ. Eddie Feigner, look him up.
