I had hoped to see the fights. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly drawn away. It sounds like I missed some really good action!

 

I hope this thread survives and we can discuss further events.

He did, but also showed better than I thought he would. I was surprised he was able to stay afloat on the ground against Fedor. Fedor was working him, going for a kimura, an arm triangle, and an armbar, but Brett fought the submissions off. If you had told me the first round would have had that much ground time, I would have told you there wouldn't be a second. Rogers handled himself well on the big stage.

 

Of course, he showed he's got a lot to learn in terms of humility in his after fight interview. No credit to Fedor and had the gall to suggest a rematch. That wasn't a fluke punch. Fedor had him timed after the first few exchanges, and he launched that attack at the moment Rogers was weak and unprepared as he billboarded his incoming left hook.

Big night for fights tonight..

 

Pacquiao vs. Cotto, should be a great fight. I like Pac-man here, I think he'll overwhelm Cotto with his speed and outstrike him and win on points..

 

Then UFC 105 free on SPIKE. Couture vs. Vera, Hardy vs. Swick, Bisping vs. Kang, and Brown vs. Wilks should all be great fights. Matt Brown and Dan Hardy are two of my favorite fighters, so I'm pretty excited for this card.

 

Edit: UFC 105 is over in England going on right now and airing on a tape delay later on tonight on SPIKE.

The guy was awful but he pretty much was in dominant positions the entire time. He needs a step up in competition.
