The blame is on Hughes for shaking off Posada' date=' and Posada for not going out to the mound to present his case.[/quote']

The blame is on Hughes alone in this instance.

Who the f*** does he think he is to shake the veteran?

I agree, but if Posada really believed in the breaking ball, he should have went out to the mound.

Clearly not as many as you!

The Yankees are your team. Through good or bad.

This is one game. Odds are, the Yankees prevail in this series and smoke the Phillies.

Have you seen the Phillies rotation?

What's wrong with the Phillies rotation? If they run a 3-man rotation in the WS, the pitchers will (probably) be Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee, and Pedro Martinez.... That seems like a good rotation to me. :dunno::dunno:

Yup.

Lee = CC

Hamels > Burnett

Pedro > Pettitte

But Yanks have BP advantage.

Lidge has been lights out through the playoffs so far.

In what, 5 ip?

And what about the rest of the bullpen?

Do you think it matches up to the Yanks' artillery?

I don't.

Have you seen Hamels in the playoffs this yr? And are you really gonna go against CC? Oh well. We'll see.

If you don't think Cliff Lee can go pitch to pitch with CC Sabathia, you need to take CC's balls off your chin for a minute so you can think more clearly.

Lee has an era during these playoffs of 0.74. Also a K/BB of 20/3. A WHIP of 0.699. CC and Lee will go pitch for pitch. I would still take Lee over CC.

Again.

You're being biased, just like Jacko.

They'd go pitch to pitch.

You don't "Take one over the other".

I am not being biased. After last year with CC folding in the playoffs last year I would just be a little weary with CC. But for CC i would love to have him starting for my team.

Folding?

The man had been pitching on 3 day's rest for more than half a month.

Explain to me how he "folded" please?

Wrong word choice but the way Lee has been outstanding in the playoffs i can't go against him. CC has also been amazing this year but still you can't forget the past when looking at the two.

What "past"?

Oh, you mean last year when CC was completely gassed from pitching on 3 day's rest for almost a month?

Or the year with Cleveland when CC was the ace of the tribe but Lee wasn't even in the rotation?

Please refresh my memory.

Regardless, IF we win this series I bet that Girardi could still find a way to f*** up against the Phils.

I say no matter what send Girardi packing this offseason. Of course that would be a lot easier to do if we lose this series or even the World Series (and if we win the World Series my sentiments might change dramatically), but I think we need to scoop up Mattingly before he succeeds Torre in LA after next season.

True but i still like Lee. He was able to stop the Dodgers offense which is no slouch. CC is still a great pitcher and even if i wasn't a Red Sox fan i would still probably take Lee. I think that they will pitch close to each other in the game but with the Phillies offense hitting the way they were i still like Lee.

So the Dodgers have a better offense than the Angels in your opinion?

Unless you come up with a better explanation than "I like Lee" it's obvious your opinion comes from anti-Yankee bias.

I don't think I would give Pedro the advantage over Andy just yet. But I agree with you, if both teams send otu 3 man rotations, the Phils match up pretty damn good.

Dipre I need to ask you an unrelated question regarding your proximity to Santo Domingo, but PM's aren't working right now.

I do believe so, that the Dodgers have a better offense than the Angels during these playoffs. Either, Manny, Kemp, Loney, Martin. I mean in the first few games of the ALCS and the ALDS. Guerrero who had not hit s*** until Game 3 of the ALCS. Hunter played well. Abreu who had not come alive until the past few games in the ALCS. Rivera does not scare me as much as the others. Morales is a good player and hitter.

This post explains a lot.

You're taking the SSS of the playoffs over the team's overall performances in the season?

That doesn't make a lot of sense, sir.

I haven't been able to receive it yet, but thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

I believe that if you don't hit well in the playoffs does it really matter what happened in the season. The Red Sox in this year's ALDS. Does that really matter or should we think about our season performance. You can't deny that they hit well in the regular season, but so far in the playoffs some have not hit well. I know that Manny was sucking at the beginning of the playoffs. He did turn it around. We will see what happens with the Angels offense.

I said in the first few games of the playoffs not the whole thing. My bad, if i was unclear. i was talking about before last night. Last night was a whole different story. Also game 3 was a different story.
