I just heard Clemens' recent denials being talked about on WSCR in Chicago today.

Listening to his interview this morning and all the talk about him all day was almost saddening. I wish he would just come clean and get it over with. It sucks knowing that this man I looked up to for so many years has put himself in this situation. God damn you Roger!!!!

To be fair to Mr. Regular Season, he could have meant having lost his Dad to a heart attack, having almost lost his brother and having seen his step-dad die of a heart problem were all defining moments to him.

 

He tried to clear the air in this regard today by sending a message to Mike and Mike stating just this. For what it's worth, Mike and Mike say they never batted an eye when he mentioned his step-dad because their understanding was what I mentioned above...that he wasn't linking them genetically, just saying he'd seen that happen and it affected him greatly.

 

I don't believe a word this guy says, I'm confident he was a PED user...but on this particular issue folks are just picking away over something relatively meaningless.

I can hardly wait until he does the perp walk on the way to his sentencing. I hope it is in NY, because I plan on being at the courthouse steps to greet him. He probably would like to. But he can't now that he lied to the Gov't. He has to stick to his guns or face serious prison time. If the Gov't said we won't put you in Federal prison, we will give you probation like we did with Tejada, I think he would come clean. I honestly think he just doesn't want to go to prison. I'm pretty convinced at this point that Roger Clemens is a psychopath-not the murdering, raping, violent kind, but the narcissistic type who uses others primarily to satisfy his own needs and who can't relate to the feelings of others AT ALL. He's callous, manipulative, glib, refuses to accept responsibility for his actions (remember, every time something went wrong on the mound he pulled up with some kind of injury) and has not shown one iota of remorse for what he has done or put other people through. It would be maddening if it weren't so sad.
