Just found this site.

 

I'm pretty new to Red Sox Nation.

Jumped on board early in the '03 season.

 

Grew up somewhat of a Braves fan (only team on TV in South Louisiana).

Quit watching pro-ball for a while after the strike.

Yeah, I watched Cal break Gehrig's record, and then the HR chase in '98.

 

Starting watching a bit in the '01 postseason due to what it meant after 9/11.

Sparingly in '02. '02 World Series sucked me back in a bit more.

Threw down the money for Extra Innings package for the '03 season, and began looking for a team since I actually had a choice for the 1st time ever.

 

Found Todd Walker in a Red Sox uni.

I practically grew up on LSU's campus. Saw Todd play many games at Alex box Stadium.

So I figured if one our greatest players ever was on the Sox, might as well follow them around a bit.

Needless to say, this team lassoed me in pretty good. Get the Extra Innings package every year now to be able to follow the Sox.

Yep. That '03 team was fun to watch.

I enjoyed the scrappiness of that group (still have it just with a different cast now).

Something about a group of scruffy guys that didn't belong giving the buttoned up, business as usual Yanks seven kinds of hell, really drew me to this team.

I've hated the Yankees long as I remember, so maybe it was just natural to become a Sox fan.
