If this were true, don't you think MLB would want to advertise A-Rod being suspended? Don't you think that makes a hell of a statement that MLB is so serious about cleaning up the same that even the almighty A-Rod will pay for cheating?

If you think they would hide it to avoid A-Rod getting more bad PR, well how much worse can the public perception of A-Rod possibly get?

Not only that, but by the time he comes back, 50 games (the standard for first-time offenders), will not have passed, thus the amount of games and conspiracy don't add up.

Yea, but A-Rod's positive test didn't come when the steroid policy was in effect, it came back in 2003. He got caught during survey testing, they don't even have the grounds to suspend him.

But if we're airing conspiracy theories, might as well throw timeline arguments out there just for the sake of proving a point. :D

Hope it's just a cyst. Cuz if he's growing another cock out of his hip from all the juice he did, that could be a more extensive surgery.

Actually, now that I think of it...10 weeks? For a cyst? Wonder if something more is going on...s*** the Yanks don't even know what's happening yet.

Is it just a cyst?

Is it more serious?

Was he tipped off about an upcoming test and maybe this gets him out of it? (don't know if anything like that prohibits a guy from being tested).

I really can't believe anything I hear coming from this liar's camp, he's lost all credibility with 75% of MLB's fandom.

No I don't think MLB wants to publicly suspend AROD. For the most part, the worst PR is over. MLB is trying to move on. If the publicly suspend him it will just drag everything back to the front pages, and put MLB in the spotlight again for something they'd rather not be in it for.

It's kind of like the conspiracy like David Stern actually suspended MJ for that year and a half for his gambling, instead of MJ retiring.

Listen I'm not going to fight for this theory tooth and nail. It was just an observation on my behalf.

1. Arod has meeting with MLB

2. Leaves DR WBC team

3. Now has a cyst that need to be removed, and will be out 10 weeks?

I know I'm not doc, but how long does it take to recover from getting a cyst removed? And wouldn't have it been better to have it removed during the offseason. Or did it just pop up this week?

Is there a doctor in the house for my questions?

I don't know about the theory that he's suspended, but I too think it is a bit suspicious that he went from hitting a HR last week and preparing to playing in the WBC, to suddenly needing surgery and having to be out for a long time. It just seems like the timing is awfully strange.

That said, I think the LAST thing the Yankees would want would be for him to a) miss time, and B) be linked to a strange 'cyst'. I know he has other issues with his hip, but it reminds me of Giambi missing time with his strange intestinal problems a few years back.

His recent admission and his s***** cover story are a huge embarassment for the Yankees. I personally think their team is good enough to ride out the storm, given that it's basically last year's team with Teixeira, Sabathia and Burnett. Even without A-Rod they're better than they were last year, and they were okay last year. I'm just curious about whether the Yankees would encourage him to take time off while opening the stadium and needing him to get out of the way so their team can come toegether with less distraction. Would the Yankees really want their marquee player being booed in their first game in the new stadium? Do Yankees fans see reason to boo A-Rod? I hope so.

I'm sure I too will be accused of tinfoilhatness, but I don't care. I am one of the few who thought there was a good chance he was using before, I don't trust him (or the Yankees FO during such an important and stressful time) and I think they can weather this storm with or without A-Rod in the lineup.

So you want to start a thread about a conspiracy theory but discourage any discussion for or against your argument?

No, I was more or less trying to see if this theory had crossed anyone's mind besides my own.

I personally think part of him is happy he can be in the headlines for something that isn't steroid-related and if it turns out he misses four months, he'll be happy he can be away from the media
