Longoria, Kid is an absolute stud. He has a chance to be a big time player for a long time to come. I'd take him long term over every 3B in the game, besides possibly Arod.

Longoria is the obvious choice here.

I think Alexei Ramirez would be 2nd. He had a really solid year and for someone who looks 140 pounds, he hit 21 homers. Pretty impressive.

Longoria, of course. Although I'd love to see Aviles get it seeing as how he grew up 25 mins from where I live. But Evan's a great young player, we got to see a lot of him around here in the NY-Penn League (He played for the HV Renegades in 2006, the team that I interned for last summer), and he's shown us the type of player he can be for many years to come. He'll be fun to watch throughout his career, just as he was this year.

It's a lot closer than people think, IMO...between Longoria and Aviles.

Longoria|122|448|.272|.343|.531|.874|125|.302|34.8

Aviles|102|412|.325|.354|.480|.834|122|.288|35[/table]

The fact that Aviles is a SS makes his case all the more compelling.

Kid's got skills, no doubt. I think it will go Longoria by a landslide because of his power #'s, and the whole worst to first charge of TB this season. Someone from this team will have to win something.

Good point. Still, in the actual votes, Longoria definitely wins. Maybe unanimous.
