Hughes pitched the series clinching win last night, going 5IP striking out 12 and allowing 1ER. That was 2 straight solid starts (13IP 1ER) in the playoffs after having a rocky stay in AAA. He is at 70 innings this season. Assuming he can get another 10-12IP this yr in 2 starts and then goes to the AFL (where he is destined), Hughes will likely reach the 110-120IP mark. Typically, AFL pitchers get 30-40IP, and I'd have to think Hughes will throw to the higher end of that. 120IP gives him a shot at making 150-160 next season.
