After running first all year, I'm not too psyched about the prospect of playing for 3rd next week.

In the championsip round...by default I think. I tied and because (I'm assuming) I had the higher seed I move on. Yet my opponent didn't start a couple of guys yesterday that might have made a difference.

 

A somewhat hollow victory...but I'll take it.

Our league results did not tally last night. Hope it gets rectified, I've got a shoutout and 1.5GAA that'll be key to winning this week.

My team was built on goalies and last week I lucked out that brodeur's poor performance didn't kill me. This week, off to a good start.

Dude, I hear you...the playoff format is a touch unfair, one bad week (after months of dominance) and you're out. Also, you could have a lot of your guys not playing (because their teams are inactive) while your opponent is loaded.

 

Then again...tough s***.

I had never done fantasy hockey before but this was actually a lot of fun. I fully expect rician to beat me this week, especially getting the shutout on the 1st night but I never really expected to be in the championship to begin with considering I was in dead last a month into the season. Then I changed coaches (to Gus Johnson) and it was all gravy after that. Thanks Gus!

You picked up a goalie win tonight, so we're tied there and you had 1.5 GAA tonight as well...again, I think that leaves us tied. I suspect tomorrow a.m. it'll be tight or you'll have jumped in front. I say it'll be very close.

I was praying for a low, low score tonight as I had Rinne facing Mason. Fortunately it was a good ole 2-1 game. That helped quite a bit. I wish I could make up the shutout category somehow though.

I was just looking ahead at who you have going versus who I have going the rest of the week. I'm a bit concerned...you have a day or two where your lineup is loaded and you have a lot of goalie starts as well. I've feasted on teams that have maybe one starting goalie and then a couple of platoon guys...at this point your goalies are all #1 guys I think. And it doesn't look as though your goalies are being rested either...if the Rangers or Devils decide to give their #1 guys a blow, I'm in trouble...we already know the Bruins are apt to give Thomas some games off as well.

 

Meanwhile my big 3..PArise, Savard, Getzlaf...haven't been doing much.

Freakin awesome. We had our goalies going head to head tonight and Fleury beat Brodeur 6-1.

Yeah awesome....I'm losing bad. Fkn Brodeur...9 goals in the last 2 games. I'm cooked.

I'm down 5-4 right now, but I think it's worse when you consider:

 

my opponent has 5 goalie starts remaining...I have only 3. He'll likely win the wins category, which means I have to win goals (I'm down by several) and PP points (also down).

 

Unless somethign dramatic happens, i.e. MSU's goalies give up a shitload of goals or his best forwards don't score, I'm going down in defeat.

I don't know man, I think you have about as good of a chance as I do. Rinne and Mason will both be facing Chicago in the next 3 days and I'm afraid one of them will give up 4 or 5. Fortunately tomorrow Rinne and Mason also face each other so as long as they both start, I'll get a win. For my sake I hope it's another 2-1 type game rather than something like 6-5. I saw where you picked up Kovalev which was huge. He got you a big game last night.

Dude, I think you're fine...I have 5 players in a 0-0 tie right now...no goalie though. I'm tanking big time, menwhile you just pikced up a couple of goals from your detroit guys. You'll pass me in save % and goals unless my guys do something incredible tonight...I think the title is slipping out of my grasp!

Am I the only one who didn't realize that this final matchup was a 2-week deal? What the f***? I just dropped some of my best players thinking Sunday was the end of the season! What a huge f***up.

I know why I missed that...I go into the site, and just click on my team, I never look at the league view so I don't see the weeks covered. One of the guys I picked up isn't even playing as far as I can tell.

I really thought I was in trouble there, then things just worked out in my favor. Lot of fun this season and it was cool to get ot know a lot of upcoming talent I never had heard of before.
