I hope you're not talking about me, because I'm certainly rooting for the AL. Why else would I be so upset about Papelbon almost blowing it?

If it was Nathan, K - Rod, or any other pitcher out there (including Mo) that did that I'd react the same way.

Papelblown!

I hope Rivera blows it

A.) because I want us to win at Fenway this year.

B.) because of all the s*** they gave Papelbon.

I hope Rivera saves it:

A) 4 games at home are better than 3.

B ) The Red Sox suck on the road.

C) You hate the Yankees more than the Red Sox.

Don't sink to their level. I am rooting for Mo to get the next two outs. If he gets the W, I'll thank all of the Yankee fans for giving us the home field advantage in the World Series. They will love that.

Dude, obviously I want the AL to win. I think you meant to say that I hate the Yankees more than I like the Red Sox. Do you see me posting in Yankee gamethreads after Yankee losses? Rarely. I would like us to win at Fenway this year though.

Don't start with this stuff. You don't know how he feels. I agree with your other two points, but this is uncalled for antagonism.

Strike 'em out, throw 'em out DP by Mo...

...time for a walk off.

Yes, it is... and I'll be making my hotel reservations for games 1 and 2 of the WS in Boston right after the winner crosses the plate.

...and if Navaro had eaten the ball earlier, Mo would have had the save. Damn shame about that Navarro.

I would have said, "I hope Rivera blows it, but then Drew hits a HR," like some other poster did.

That comment alone, plus you wanting to see the Red Sox win at Fenway (they still can if the NL ever gives us a f***ing series) makes me think you'd rather see Rivera humilated than the AL winning.

But if he didn't say he wanted the first part of that statement more than the second part, you have no logical basis for that conclusion. The poster is telling you that he does not feel the way you have assumed. I think he know his feelings better than you do.

Touche'. Actually out of all the Yankees, I respect Rivera the most, I was just caught up in the moment of all the Papelbon hating. I do hate the Yankees, for obvious reasons but it comes no where near my obsession with Red Sox.

Thanks dude, but he actually did catch me contridicting myself.

I'll defend you even if you did slip up. No Red sox fan canibalism will be tolerated tonight. The Yankee fans really have me pissed off. Their stupid behavior underscores why I haven't set foot in that place in years and I will never go to the new place. I used to go to 10 games a year at Yankee Stadium, but I would get ill if I went there now.

BTW: I will go to watch them tear down the old place, and I'll cheer.

Keep him in Tito.
Agreed. If we don't score this inning, I'd like to see Mo go another inning.

That's too bad for Uggla. He's really screwed things up. Wow!

Awesome.

On second thought, what would have mattered if Rivera blew the game? Does anyone actually see an NL team giving the Red Sox a series?

I really don't want to see the game end with Uggla being such a terrible goat. That really sucks. It had to be such a thrill for him to play an All Star game at Yankee Stadium and he is going to have such terrible memories of it.
