You just couldn't wait for something like this to happen:lol:. It must have been eating you alive seeing JD carry the Sox offensively for the last month or so. We all know he has back issues, and can be fragile at times. Hes not going to play 162 games every year. Theres not too many guys that do. Besides it has been shown that giving him a few days off here and there makes him a better player.

You have continued to beat this dead horse to no end. Please move on to the next glue bucket.<_>

ok

i wont beat a dead horse but i will explain how jd drew made his way onto the tek thread.

on 7-7 i posted a half assed defense of tek

on 7-8 kilo said i was hypocritical for defending tek while bashing drew

on 7-9 i displayed last years #s which i feel justified my disnay in drews performance

then you said something to the effect that i should give him a break and how he is a better player and he had personal issues etc etc..

ironically the same day he bows out with a back injury

now i didnt sit with baited breath wondering when he was going down nor do i hope he fails as ive explained 4-500xs here.

i root for the name on the front, not the back of the jersey

i dont have crushes on ball players nor do i worship men who dont pay my bills

.i simply call spades spades and waiting for jd to sit with what amounts to be a nagging ache is like waiting for the rain.

its coming ,you just dont know how much or for how long.

as for the glue bucket,i apologize for being naive to your point.

if its an insult you can go f*** yourself

if youre calling out my knowledge of the game then fair enuff, keep it civil and i'll play.

i watch these games,i follow these guys like they were my kids and you have no f***ing idea how passionate i am about my redsox,jd drew included, as long as hes on the roster.

jd drews success in june was a huge boost with ortiz out.

ive said it before and i will repeat it again since you didnt notice.

No no no, no insults where ment. And I could be lumping you into a group of JD bashers when you ought not to be. I am tired of people complaining about Drew and I vented on you, for this I apologize. And no I am not saying you lack in baseball knowledge either. It was more a venting post then anything, and I'm sorry you had to take the full blow. The glue bucket reference was referring to my original line of " dead horse". You know what they say about dead horses becoming glue and all that:D

Per Buster Olney today:

The impact of Jorge Posada's situation cannot be underestimated: He is less than four months into a four-year, $52.4 million deal that he got because he has been a strong offensive catcher. Now, even if he has shoulder surgery, there are questions about how effective he can be behind the plate when he comes back. As a first baseman or a DH, Posada's value is greatly diminished. For that reason, his contract could turn out to be a complete bust for the Yankees.

And undoubtedly, Jason Varitek is going to feel the ripple effect from this. In his last contract negotiations, Varitek plowed through the wake of Posada's negotiations and ended up with a $40 million deal. Varitek, 36 years old and just months younger than Posada, will be eligible for free agency again this fall -- and Posada's breakdown will only reinforce Boston's likely inclination to limit their offer to Varitek to two years or even just one. The Red Sox catcher is batting just .218 with eight homers this year, and rival executives say privately that they would be stunned if the Red Sox offered Varitek more than a one-year or two-year deal at $6 million to $8 million a year. "I'd be very surprised if he's back with the Red Sox," said one official.

Also from Olney:

Heard this: At a time when Jason Varitek is moving toward his free agency, the Red Sox are scouting minor league organizations for catching. Just in case.

Not surprisingly.
