Enjoy watching the College World Series? Haven't heard any talk about it on here.

 

I love it. It's great baseball and very exciting. LSU made an amazing comeback in the bottom of the 9th this afternoon, not to mention Georgia's big win over Miami Saturday night.

 

UNC is leading Fresno State 3-2 (huge cinderella) in the 5th right now.

I love watching college baseball. It just doesnt get much exposure. But I'm lovin the CWS this year.

It's just about time they get rid of the aluminum and composite bats. With the size and strength of the players and the bat technology, someone's gonna get killed and games are becoming to offense oriented.

 

Excuse the tangent coming at ya, but even in L.L. it's gotten to be a joke. My son is 12 and on the all-star team for our league...he's about 72 lbs. We have 8 kids who will turn 13 before the all-star tourney is over (thanks to a stupid age change which said anyone turning 13 after April 30 could play that season as a 12 yr old...makes no sense).

 

6 of these 8 kids are big, like 130lbs or more. I graduated high school at 145! We have one kid, 5'8, 155 lbs., another is about 5'6", 200+ lbs, and our best pitcher is 5'5", 180.

These kids are swinging composite bats and hitting balls outta the park on check swings. Too big and too strong for the 60 ft. diamond, especially given the equipment they use.

I agree completely, ESPECIALLY at the college level. A lot of those guys are 6'5'' 230 and swinging those aluminum bats wish such ease. I wouldn't want to be a pitcher.

 

I just graduated high school and played baseball for 4 years. There were some really little guys who could swing those bats like toothpicks, and the college players are so much bigger and stronger using the exact same bats they are. Something seriously needs to be done.
