another reason to despise the nba.

between pierce, allen and king james you have close to 60,000,000.00 or better in salary.

lebron told his story last year when he appeared at the jake wearing a yankee hat in the alds.

something fundamentally wrong with the home boy wearing a yankee hat while his home baseball team is playing for their lives...if you notice, most people who cheer for teams outside their home town because they win are insecure deep down inside...

the celtics can go to garnett in crunch time but someone else best step the f*** up or they're gone in 6 in this round.

having followed paul pierce during his ncaa days in kansas and his entire nba career in boston i can confidently say he eats it when it matters most.

so did john elway for years

so did peyton manning

so did jim plunkett

memo to paul pierce,

no one is looking to bust a cap in your ass, especially the bloods or crips.

mind your f***ing manners and play basketball

an early exit this year compounded with another f***ed up playoff series personally after giving you the keys to the proverbial testerosa will make a lot of people with high hopes disappointed.

jesus christ

76 f***ing points at home?

Posey, Cassell, Garnett, and Perk carried the team last night.

TO be fair the officiating sucked- particularly towards Pierce both in the calls against him and the no calls that should have gone our way.

That being said, it was the worst star performance I've ever seen in person in pro sports, and the people behind us were ready to kill him.

Pierce was not alone. Can Ray Allen hit a f***ing jump shot?

Pc is right, the role players plus Garnett carried the team. If all of the "stars" play even decent, the game is not close.

The Celtics got extremely lucky last night. It worries me that with Lebron only going 2-18 from the floor, that the C's only managed a 4 point win. It seems like in the playoffs the C's have been unable to put a team away when they should be able to. Gotta give credit to KG who shut up his "bashers" for a day or two at least. Allen and Pierce need to get it together and play the way that they are capable of.

ray allen has been disappointing and must step up now

37 minutes and 4 shots attempted against cleveland isnt going to help us.

he can shoot as well as anyone in the game but he cant create for himself

i saw paul pierces defense the other night,i saw lebron james miss 10 layups as well.

pierce has to score,if he then doesnt lebron will eventually eat him alive on the other end of the court...

garnett you can go to but the outside game has to show up tonight or they got trouble

lebron can't play against team defenses

when you throw 2-3 guys at him off pick and rolls he panics and either fades away or tries to dribble around in to get to the rim and make a ridiculous pass

he's clearly flustered right now, and i absolutely love it

talk about an underrated acquisition in posey

again i will revert to the inherint character flaw that shows men who cheer for teams outside of their home town struggle with self esteem issues.

despite being a gifted 6'8 250lb guy with a great jumper, he hasnt done what it takes to get to the next level.

he may yet win a few titles but at this hour the man is dumbfounded confused and incompetant,he aint missing 25 foot contested jumpers, hes missing lay ups, free throws and everything else he throws up..

JP = CP

I'll let you f***ers figure out the equation.

Haha first thing that came to my mind is James Posey= Chris Paul :dunno:

Not seeing how that is working tho lol

Anywayyyyyyy I was listening to WEEI today and they were talking about home court advantage being so critical in the NBA as opposed to other sports. Why do you guys think that it is so hard for the opposing team to come away with a W on the road? I mean how much can a crowd be so distracting for players at this level?

James Posey = Championship Player

It's nice to see the Celtics unleash their new road gameplan...not even f***ing trying.

Officiating. The NBA is a home team sport and always will be because of the officiating.

Home advantage is definitely a bigger deal in the NHL. Besides the fact that the fans are nuts, the last change on faceoffs allows coaches to line-match.

Exactly.

Part of the issue is that when there is incidental contact, the refs have a tough time determining who a foul is on to begin with...so the foul goes to the visiting team. How many times last night did we see a Cav go up for a shot, and the Celtic defender jumps straight up, arms extended perfectly above their own head, and whether there is meaningful contact or not, the Celt is whistled for the foul? Happens in the celts favor in Boston too.

Kilo nailed it. 50/50 calls -- which there tend to be a lot of throughout a game, go more to the home team.

Celtics better learn how to win on the road. You need to have a winning mentality and it's tough to do when nobody on your team has ever won anything.
