You could make a case for Tito (he's def the postseason manager ) but I didn't expect him to win....this is really the 'manager who's team gained the most wins over the previous year' award.

They don't tend to give Manager of the Year to teams with high pay rolls. I think it took Torre a while to get it. Tito rocks!

what difference does it make? hurdle had better players and barely made the playoffs , melvin didn't have that great of a team and still managed to win the NL west

That's ridiculous. Arizona was a team, according to their Pythag, that shouldn't have even made the playoffs.

 

Oh, and there's that whole thing about winning 21/22, and beating Arizona in the playoff series.

EXACTLY, the fact that melvin led that team to the playoffs is pretty amazing ,

 

so is the season based on 21-22 games ?oh and the playoffs dosent count for the voting if it was, tito would have won it easily in the AL
