So, does/did anyone play high school football? I have my first double sessions tomorrow, and I've had Captain's Practice all week so far. On Saturday, we're playing the best team in the state from the MIAA (Everett) in a scrimmage. Most of you will think I'm crazy, but we can beat them. We graduated three seniors last year (all of which can be replaced), we have potentially the biggest line in the state with about four kids over 270 lbs, and we have some sick skill kids.

What about everyone else?

I played for my team for three years, as the center (loved it, I can see why they call it the smartest position on the O-line) and Defensive tackle. My teams were always around .500, not great but not bad either.

We did have a really disappointing season my senior year, going 5-5-1. We lost a game on a 40 yard TD pass in the final seconds in one game and we lost another 13-10 when we turned the ball over 6 times in the second half. That one especially hurt because it was my first varsity start.

Last year we went 9-1 and lost to our rivals (Belmont Hill, I go to BB&N) on a freak play. Our kicker booted a 30-yard FG with a minute to go to put us up 15-14, and on the first play from scrimmage, they put up a prayer. Now, we had one guy in position to pick it, but another kid came in and tried to swap the ball down instead. Basically, he got his finger tips on it and tipped it over the other defender that was in position to intercept it, and the ball fell into the Belmont Hill receiver's hands and he ran it for a TD. Absolute horse s***.

I play left guard, but I also have to learn right guard because my coach uses me to pull a lot. I'm pretty quick for my size which is always a plus. How big were you in high school, Kilo?

Do you remember any other measurements for your other linemen? Haha' date=' sorry I just have a fascination with the line considering that it's the most important piece of a football team.[/quote']

Umm

One was like 5'11", 185; the other was like 6'1", 230.

The tackles were like 5'10", 250 and 6' 270

I played one year of football. It was at a brand new school, all freshmen and sophomores and our team was majorly undermanned. They had to put me at TE, which I liked, but I was undersized for the position build-wise... just tall and skinny. Despite lacking speed, I could hold my own catching passes with just about anyone, and blocking kids my age, but up against upperclassmen D-Lineman I never stood a prayer. Last game of the season I got my clock cleaned pretty good with a helmet to the jaw and got a mild concussion -- all the other TE's on the team were hurt so after a little while I came back in the game -- anyways, my coach comes up after the game and blames the loss on me (we lost by, like, 40 like every other f***ing game we played) so I told him to go f*** himself and quit.

I hate that I had to quit but that guy was just a world class dickhead and I was having nothing to do with him.

Football is one of the few sports my school, Algonquin, doesn't dominate in. I'm way to small to play, but Friday Night football is always fun.

as a former milford high football player i can attest to soxfans statement

algonquin did indeed suck at football but their highschool baseball team and legion club were awesome over the last 2 years

not to brag but my senior class lost 2 games in 3 years and we won 2 superbowls

milford high beat hadley 20-0 last year capping off an 11-1 season and winning the d*1 superbowl out here in central and west mass

double sessions are f***ing horrible

pray for rain schill

those fields get awfully dusty by mid week

as a lineman figure on losing 10-12lbs of water weight in the 1st week

i know its hard to fathom but you really should enjoy it

its the closest you will ever be with strange men without being considered a faggot

you'll make lifelong friendships with guys you dont even talk to today and 25 years later when you see them you can nod your head and they'll nod back and without saying a word you'll say 10000 things

enjoy, hustle and keep your head on swivel mode because someone on monday is going to try to put their helmet under your chin and remove said head from your shoulders.

good luck

Our soccer team has won 2 championships in the last 3 years and have been in all the championship games. Baseball won last year and lost this year in the championship game and the girls and boys lacrosse teams won it all this year.

algonquin won the d-1 championship in baseball last year didnt they?

i know they were close again this year

y'all got a stud pitcher who beat milford last year over at tivnan field in worcester

f***ing kid thru 180 pitches and went 9 and it was about 110 in the shade that day

forgot his name but i think he graduated this year

soccer??

do you have a lot of the portugese and brazilian kids from marlboro and hudson??

Nah. I know a lot of the soccer guys because some of them are neighbors, but they're just nasty. We didn't lose to many seniors so expect dominance again last year.

Baseball won the d1 championship last year and lost in the championship game this year. I don't know the pitcher you're talking about, but our ace this year was Neil Hesek. We also had this beast Dave Teggart. He hit 4 hr's in a game once this year. He also is a kicker for footbal and he got a full ride to UConn on that kicking. He was in SI a while back.

God help my soul. That is all.

Actually, that's not all. Everett is going to get quite a surprise tomorrow.

My coach is as intense as they come. We'd be doing mud wrestling if it rained on our dirt practice field. He coached at Harvard, Tufts and Bentley I think.

As far as 10-12 pounds.... I'm 6'1" 290, so I think I'll be shedding quite a bit of weight by the end of next week.

do you have an agent??

Hahaha.

As far as Everett goes, we can definitely dance with them. They're a very, very strong program, but we did some great things against them as well. It was a 10-on-10 scrimmage, which basically means that one team goes on offense for 10 plays, and then goes on defense for 10, and it keeps switching until the end. We gave up a big play on Everett's first offensive play, but held them on the goal line for 8 plays until they were able to punch it in. That was pretty promising. All of the other public schools in Eastern Mass have something to worry about in Everett, but I'm not telling them anything new.

God do I miss football double sessions.

Schill.....you may hate them now, but enjoy every minute of HS football, because in 5 or 6 years you will look back at those days and realize how much fun it actually was.

I came from a pretty big school with a team of more than 60 players that went 9-2 my senior year. Since the team was so huge, we all played 1 way (offense or defense), although we practiced secondary positions as well. I played FB (6'0 225 Lbs) and was the long snapper. My secondary position was DE although I only started 1 game on defense sophomore year. Must be fun to get to play both sides of the ball.

getting attacked by the garron brothers over at bowditch field in framingham, then having the framingham cops storm the bus because a kid got hit in the face with a helmet.

watching darren flutie leave the field with oxygen with a giant piss stain in the front of his pants after drubbing the superbowl champs in natick

7-7 preseason tie against the greg mcmurtry sherrod rainge led brockton boxers who were #1 in the nation that year for a while till leominster handed them their ass

the 1st superbowl win beating that same leominster team by 4tds
