Injury updates

ST. PETE - X-rays on Dustin Pedroia were negative (after being hit in the left elbow with a pitch by Edwin Jackson in the third). He has a bruised elbow, but no timetable on when he'll be able to play.

 

Eric Hinske, who left the game after the fourth inning after stealing second base and advancing to third on an error, suffered a muscle cramp in his right calf. He's day-to-day. Not serious is the word
