I dont see your point. It worked out well for both teams. One team got a superstar in the making at SS, and a very good pitching prospect who is currently hurt. The other got an ace and a very good 3B while eating a huge salary. I dont think anyone had said that this trade had sucked this year.

When Sanchez got the no-no last year pretty much everyone was talking about how the Sox got ripped off, and time and time again other people (like Kilo and myself) would say WAIT A YEAR OR TWO AND THEN MAKE JUDGMENTS.

I wonder how many of these injuries to pitchers are a result of the organizations and how these young pitchers are coached. It's tough to judge this trade on single events, such as no-hitters and injuries. It's possible Sanchez would not have thrown that no-hitter in the AL or not even gotten hurt if he was still with the Sox. He was a real good prospect and it would be good to see him recover and pitch well again.

With the way Beckett has pitched this year, and the way Lowell has played the hot corner, we are def. the team as of right now that got the better end of the deal. But with Hanley being a perenial AS SS for the rest of his career, its close. And Sanchez is a decent prospect, hes nothing special.
