If they could sign Tex for a decent deal( not the 100M Boras is blowing up eveyones ass) then ya hed be greta for the team. At this point in time if Texas would take Bard and maybe a OF prospect(not Ellsbury) I'd do the trade. Teixiera WILL get a 100mil deal. He's 27 now, he'll be 29 when he is a FA. He's a switch hitting, gold glove, power and RBI 1b who keeps a pretty decent career BA.

Uh... good point. I meant to say 1B. Kotchman or Loney would probably go back to Tex in the trade.

 

I don't see the Angels trading Kotchman at this point.

 

The Dodgers might be better off just inserting Loney at 1B, and looking for an upgrade elsewhere.
