that was a good play by Robby. Seriously, Cano is so goddamn hard to get a handle on. He nonchalants every now and then, but he is typically a good 2b. Hence why he is so tough to read. His nonchalanting is annoying.

His ERA is now at 4.05 after the first 3 innings.

my point exactly. A 4ish ERA when he is averaging well over 6IP per start. You guys need to see what really bad pitching looks like. See our staff circa april 2007.

You mistook me. What I meant to say was that I have no idea how it took this long for his ERA to get up there. Jacko, you really need to watch more of his outings. He sucks.

.344 opponent BA this month (I think).

Im not sure how to calculate opposing avg, but its 43 Hits in 29 innings. His next 2 starts are both against very good lineups in the Guardians and Yankees

He's looked like opening day vs. KC for three straight games. If it was one, maybe two, I'd have less doubt he can shake it off. But, his stuff is uninspiring.

Thanks, Bobby. We needed a little luck since Pettitte seems to have the market cornered with everything being hit right at someone.

EDIT: Nevermind, that Pettitte luck is unshakeable tonight.

Hows that 2008 option year looking like?

a f***ing godsend that we didnt pick it up already. I wont write him off yet either, but seriously. He isnt even walking, which is his best attribute.

It isn't for lack of effort. He doesn't swing much until there are two strikes.

He doesnt strike the same kind of fear that he did in the past, so pitchers are flinging it up there.

But to go against what you are saying, he has been swinging earlier in the count of late. They had a stat on a yankee broadcast where he walked once in 62 ABs in one stretch. They also had a stat on his first pitch swings, which was way higher than his average. DOnt have the actual numbers, but it sounds like he started slumping, then starting getting overaggressive.

What did his PPA do? The walks don't tell you anything. It's just as likely that he started seeing more strikes as a reduced threat. Think about what the numbers mean, don't just spew them out there without finishing the job. That's what the cornholes in media, where you got that stat from, do.

it is more like I dont really want to do the legwork. Watching Abreu gives the same feeling. He is a little more jumpy than usual. And his bat looks painfully slow.

Don Orsillo's been decapitated.

I hate when they start giggling, especially when the team they are covering is losing by 6.
