The problem is that I watch Igawa out there' date=' and he's had a good night, but it always seems like he's about to fall apart. A big lead, like five runs or so, would have really given the Yanks some margin for error in these final three innings before Mo.[/quote']

when you are a finesse pitcher, you are always on the brink of disaster. And when you are a finesse pitcher with spotty control, you are lighting a stick of dynamite and seeing when to put the wick out. Sometimes it explodes in your face, other times it doesnt.

I'm kind of a pessimist, so I always thing it's going to explode in the Yankee's faces.

And Piazza rips one in the gap on a two strike pitch. In my opinion the biggest knock on most of the Yankees starters for the past few years is their inability to put people away with two strikes.

Plz be Myers and Vizcaino' date=' plz be .... NOT PROCTOR. Start him in the 7th. No more 1+ IP performances out of him.[/quote']

If it was left entirely up to Joe, Proctor would pitch 10 innings a week.

Disaster occurs. Hey Joe, GREAT f***ING JOB using Minky in that spot. I hate you.

Igawa pitched great today, fell apart in this inning, but pitched very well. BTW, Chavez K'd on that check swing.

And, Scott Proctor is in. Wonderful. Might as well light the guy on fire and end his pain. He's gonna be burned out by May.

Somehow the Yankees have to find 8 outs. If this game is still 4-3 in the eighth I wouldn't be surprised if Joe tried to get more than 3 outs from Mo.

PLZ NO FARNS. I'd take Proctor/Vizcaino/Myers/Bruney/Mo.

Proctor has lost something off the heat. 92-93 instead of 95-97 like it used to be. Joe f***ed this guy up.

There is probably only one guy in the A's lineup who Joe would feel comfortable bringing Myers in against knowing the A's won't pinch hit. Depending on the situation Myers may not really be too useful against this lineup. The time to use him was against the Twins with the two big lefties in the order.

Oooh, ok he just snuck out of it. Joe wouldn't think of trying to stretch Proctor out for another inning, would he? I wonder if he was going to use Myers in Proctor lost Kendall or if he is going to start the seventh with Myers. I would tend to think that the A's would pinch hit for the rookie.

Cmon Proctor. Now Walker is running on the pitch. Fantastic.

Whoa, got out of that one.

If Jason Kendall hit a home run we would know it's not the Yank's night.

I'm not getting something here. Farnsworth is warming up for the seventh? Is he moving Vizcaino to the eighth inning? Does he plan on using Rivera for six outs? Something isn't adding up. We'll see what Joe decides to do.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GET HIM OUT OF THERE!!!!!

I can't really blame Joe for using Farnsworth, he is pitching with a day off. I just don't get why he's in now. Something doesn't make sense. There you go Farnsworth, stick with your heat unless you're way ahead in the count.
