they are keeping him in A ball to get his confidence up. The hitters at that level are no match for him. Once he gets to AAA' date=' he should at least get tested a little.[/quote']

As much as I like seeing those stats, I agree with Jacko:blink: ... The start in low A ball is genious tho because it lets him work on his stuff without getting tuned up and losing confidence, this work should build his mental game up while getting his legs under him and his mechanics down... but I'm glad hes doing well......

Lester will make one more start in single A on the 25th, then throw a side Session in Boston, and make one start in Pawtucket. If all goes well then he could be back with Boston after that start in early May. I hope its happens if Lester is ready.

The latest on Lester is hes making one more start in A ball, coming to Boston to throw a side session and then will pitch atleast one AAA game before they decide on weather or not he will join the Sox in Boston... Hes moved along pretty well, besides Lester at 85% cant be any worse then Tavarez at 100%. I dont want them to rush him but if he really is ready to go then i dont see a reason to hold him back...

I hope he makes his first start back with the big club in Fenway, what a moment that would be

Here in Montreal when Saku Koivu made his return, he got an 8 minute standing ovation

I'd rather give Hansack a shot than rush Lester' date=' but this is still excellent news.[/quote']

I think Hansack getting a shot is imperative. Cause he is pitching well and worst case you showcase him for a move or keep him as a spot man/long reliever. And if you keep Lester away from the bigs for a few more weeks then you protect your asset.

I really think that if JT tanks in his next start he might get a shot next time threw the rotation.

Jon Lester (cancer) allowed three runs on six hits, including two home runs, in five innings during a rehab start at Single-A Greensville on Friday night.

Lester struck out five in the outing. He will meet with the Red Sox medical staff on Saturday and then make a final rehab start at Triple-A Pawtucket on Wednesday. He is expected to be optioned to Pawtucket after Wednesday's start until the Red Sox need him to join their rotation.

Lester pitching against the hometown Wings tomorrow, with Garza getting the call as well. If I had a couple extra bucks I would go. Maybe it will be on the crappy local sports network.

I think he'll have to consistently dominate at AAA and not walk batters for the Sox to bring him up.

One start I know, but he didn't walk anyone tonight.

Plus someone said he hit 95 on the gun? Me likey.
