Marion Riveria looks like he wants a new deal and is talking of leaving if the Yanks won't pony up the cash he thinks he deserves.

 

 

So I'll put it out there for discussion, If he hits the FA market do they sox go for him? If so How much will it take to pry him away from NY? What would the repercussions of a move like this be for both sides? And if not the Sox, where else could you see Mo heading?

he will not hit the FA market next yr. This happens every time a new contract comes up. Speculation about where he will end up gets squashed by a 2-4 yr deal every time.

Fat George will never let Mo come to Beantown.. That being said, if we had a chance to get him next year I would hope Theo would make a mighty effort to sign him. Besides his talent...it would absolutely CRUSH Yankee fans across the country to see Rivera closing games for the Sox..it would be absolutely wonderful.

Hey NY took Damon so its our turn to steal someone. Honestly though I don't see Mo leaving NY but if he does hit FA the Sox need to make an offer. I don't even think he would accept an offer with Boston based on principle but at least make the Yanks pay extra to keep him. Quid pro quo.
