Weak excuse IMO. He came to OSU with HUGE expectations and he's got the body of a 30 year old (looks 30 too).

So you're saying OSU's going to win the National Championship?

I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they won it but I'm going to have to wait a few more weeks before I make my prediction.

what were pat ewings #s over 4 seasons at georgetown??

care to see bill russells #s with the sanfran dons over 4 yrs??

y'all are forgetting the guy plays in the big 10 where if 2 teams break 65 points its considered a shoot out...

consider that the guy has been playing 1 handed, while shooting his free throws left handed and i think 15-9-3 are good #s after 25 games

i dont think ohio st is going to win it all

who do you like??

i like nc

anyways

im saying today if they get oden the celts win 50 next year

the celtics have some huge holes that this kid single handedly can make up for on the defensive end of the floor

basketball is the 1 sport where 1 man can change the season

oneil did it in orlando

anthony did it in denver despite all you nene fans thinking otherwise

howard in orlando

lebron in cleveland

plus the celtics are a 35 win team with a healthy squad as it is

theyve lost something like 21 games that they led in the 4th this year

give these guys a year to play together, add the 7 foot shot blocker, get a pure shooter and find someone who is willing to knock somebody down to prevent a lay up and 50 wins isnt out of the equation in the woefull nba eastern conference

OH, so you think Oden plus 2 more guys equals a 50 win season. Makes more sense now. Unless I misunderstood you...

Texas A&M. They actually have an identity unlike many other teams in the nation. They don't have the "star" power other teams have, but when they play their game they're tough to beat and you need to play a perfect game to beat them (see: Texas Tech last night, played a perfect game, won on a buzzer beater). They're the best defensive team in the nation, and they have Acie Law IV, probably has the biggest balls in the nation. He's hit at least 10 gigantic shots this year. He's gotta be the top PG in the upcoming draft, the kid is so much like Eric Snow, with an offensive game. He plays so under control, he's got great vision, is a great passer, plays spectacular defense, and hits the HUGE shots. You can tell the kid wants it badly. I love watching him play. Carter is one of the better shooters in the nation, and Kavaliauskas and Jones are both above average big men and rebounders.

I also really like Wisconson as well. One of those two teams WILL be in the finals along with Florida (barring them both being on the same side of the bracket as Florida).

I don't think UNC will. Too young and inconsistent.

OSU is a good choice I think, but they still don't play well together. They have so much talent and can't keep everyone happy, and that's worked against them. Next year they'd be amazing if freshmen sensations Oden, Conley and Cook stay.

I don't like UCLA. They don't have one guy they can go to. Afflalo is solid, but I don't think he's the kind of guy who likes the ball in crunch time. Same with Mbah a Moute. I love Collison though, he's going to be a good player.

Bill Russell was a 20 point, 20 rebound guy at San Fran so I don't really see how that's relevant. He's playing with one hand, sure... but for one, any good big man can score with either hand, and he's shooting from with 3 feet to begin with.

And Ohio State's averaging 75 per game, which would rank pretty high among the big conference teams.

One shot... game on the line... I'll take Acie Law IV 10 times out of 10.

None of the teams really stand out to me this year. I'm leaning towards UNC, though.

^^Meeeeh I'll take Acie 8/10 times, if I need something down low I'll take Boggan. Boggan's got f***ing massive nuts too.

Big 12 and PAC-10 top two conferences this year? Lot of dangerous teams in those conferences.
