That should just about ice it. Kudos to the Indy defense. They won this game.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Vinatieri. That guy is nails.

Colts are set to seal the deal on a less than glamorous playoff win, specifically the play by clutch Manning. This team Ive seen play the last couple of weeks cant matchup with whomever wins tomorrows game

Choke on your dinner tonight Vinatieri, disgusting to see you in a Colts uniform

They've looked fallable the last two weeks, but you never know when they are going to come out clicking, which is always a possibility. I think they can make a game of it with either team in tomorrow's game.

lol

What makes you say that? People were saying how poorly the Colts matched up against both of the teams they've already played. I agree that the Chargers should be looked at as the team to beat, but correct me if I'm wrong....didn't the Colts already beat the Patriots?

1) The Colts played the Patriots 2 months ago... you actually think the Pats are the same team as last time? But eh it worked out good in your last prediction that the Jets would easily beat them because they handled them just 2 months ago

2) You act as if Indy manhandled New England first time around... hardly the case. Ahem the Pats turned the ball over 5 times and lost by just a touchdown

The Pats are a different team in the playoffs as much as you would hate to agree with that.

Who said the Jets would beat the Patriots easily? Show me where I said that.

I love the cockiness of Patriots fans. It's never the Patriots fault when they lose the game. The Colts game, last year's Broncos game, this year's Jets game. Something else happens (the refs screwed them, the field was bad). The hubris of some Patriots fans amuses and sickens me.

In other news, Reggie Bush got his s*** wrecked.

I reply that way because you always seem to put the Pats in a lower class of this year's NFL. Where did I say it wasnt the Patriots fault for the loss against the Colts? I did include the fact about 5 turnovers. Im just saying when Tom Brady throws 4 interceptions, reasonably dont you think they shouldve lost by more than a touchdown??

Were you or were you not confident that your team the Jets would beat the Pats because they beat them in November?

No one think they're in the lower class of the NFL. They're still playing, aren't they? I'm a Green Bay fan, I've been dwelling in the lower class for the last two years.

I didn't say the Jets would beat the Patriots. i said it'd be a close game due to the fact that the Jets had beaten the Patriots in the regular season.

Patriots fans need to stop acting like their team gets no respect. If anything, the Patriots get too much love in the national media. They've accomplished more than any other team in the last 5 years, but people act as though the game of football sprung forth from the mind of Bill Belichick.

I just wish the national media would finish sucking the Patriot's collective dick. 3 years is too long for a proper blowjob.

Well' date=' the Saints won. That should be good for 3 maybe 4 more murders tonight in New Orleans.[/quote']

I'll take the over.

If I'm a Colts fan, I'd rather my team win games like this than the game against KC a few years ago when neither team punted. This defense is starting to look good... real good. I think the ends stopped trying to get up field every possession.

Also, the Colts offense didn't look great but I didn't think they looked all bad. They played a team that had 60 or so sacks this season and Peyton wasn't on his ass at all hardly. Peyton showed some mobility, too. He only took off and ran once but his ability to step up, take a few steps to the side to avoid a rusher and even throw on the run was impressive.

I said a few weeks ago that I think this is the Colts year. Teams have been getting sucked into the trap that they can just run the ball all day long. Didn't really happen to day since that's how the Ravens offense is.

And RSR... the Colts beat the Patriots pretty handily... I would hope that you fear them. You no longer own Peyton and if you play 'em, the game won't be in the elements. It'll be in the facility and conditions that this team is built to excel in.

Peyton had some picks but both of them were just try and get the ball down field on third down situations. It's expected against the Ravens because they come with formations on defense that nobody else uses.

I like the Colts, to be honest. Their defense and offensive line has seemed to embrace the underdog role.

The Saints are going to the superbowl. That is all.

As for the Colts, I'm petrified of them. I much rather would have played the Ravens because as long as you can score a few field goals, their offense won't hurt you. They may have the best defense in the league, but you also need a half-decent offense. The Colts at home are going to be EXTREMELY scary to play, especially when it'll be at the RCA Dome if the Patriots happen to win. First, we have to beat the Chargers, but should the Pats win... wow. I won't be too thrilled to play at Indianapolis in front of a full crowd of Colts fans craving revenge. I also have a bad feeling that Vinatieri will end the Pats' season. He has absolutely no wind nor elements to deal with. The Pats better hope they get Harrison back or they'll be in real bad shape. At this point, to be honest, I'm more scared of the Colts than the Chargers. The Pats' secondary needs to be sured up, and I just don't see how they'll be able to keep up with Clark/Harrison/Wayne. The only real deep threat for the Chargers is Gates, and McCardell is no pushover.

Both will be tough games, but I dread the Colts more than the Chargers. I really dislike it when some Pats fans find comfort in the fact that we've had previous success in the postseason. It helps a little, yes, to know that you have the smartest coach in recent memory (I think everyone on this board will agree, even if they hate the Pats), but when you have teams like the Chargers and Colts standing in your way, you can't feel safe at all.

What's Brady's record on turf and in domes?

Do they get bonus points for that? Automatically start at 7-0 Patriots or something because of Brady's past? What was his playoff record going into the Broncos game last year? Okay, now what did that do for ya?

I'm not saying that the Patriots can't score... but you won't have the conditions to stop Peyton this time.

Well, Peyton did have a pretty clean atmosphere today, and he didn't exactly look too good. I think his rating was somewhere in the 30s?? Hopefully it'll get to him real nice by next week and the Colts will get beat by tomorrow's winner.

The Patriots have had one of the best defenses in the NFL this season, Peyton hasnt been looking himself as usual in the playoffs. His nemesis in the playoffs could be knocking at his doorstep to have a rematch... will his veins be full of ice this time around?

Final score was 27-20. The Pats defense really kept them in the game, despite having to deal with the offense coughing up the ball 5 times (including 4 interceptions). They couldve blown the Pats out easily

Hate to break it to you, but really his only nemesis was Ty Law. He's owned the Patriots since Law left. I just don't understand how some of you are so comfortable going into tomorrow's game, and should we win tomorrow, to Indianapolis. Like I said, it helps to know as fans that we can go into the game with confidence, but these teams are unbelievable and could beat the Patriots just as convincingly as some of you think the Pats will beat these other teams.

Two missed, extremely makable FG's by Vanderjagt and the game was in Foxboro. You know you can't expect Vinatieri to miss those FG's. I know it technically wasn't 13, but winning by 13 on the road is impressive.

Like SOTK said... and he's my favorite because he's realistic... what have you done against Peyton since Ty Law left that makes you think you can stop the Colts? They ran all over your defense.

Another problem is that Tom Brady apparently suddenly feels the need to keep up with Peyton and forces balls against the Colts like he doesn't against any other team. It's strange, really.

If the Colts do make the Super Bowl, I hope that Peyton appears in, like, seven Super Bowl commercials. I want it to be all Peyton all the time!

The commercials would be absolutely hilarious as well, you know that would be true. Hell, he'll probably appear in a lot of superbowl commercials anyway. Maybe Eli will be in them too!

EDIT: Actually, nevermind. Just like at their positions, Eli will never ever be as amusing in a commercial as Peyton.

They're awesome in that ESPN ad.

But the two that I can think of with him and Peyton are good. The Sportscenter one and then the one with Archie too where they keep huddling up. Don't remember what the second one is for. Either way... Peyton Manning's commercials are hilarious.

Well, the only reason I feel more comfortable playing against the Colts rather than the Chargers is because the Colts are leaning on somethign that might not show up the next game. I'd rather face a struggling Peyton and a lucky defense than a high-powered Charger offense and the pressure of SDs defense. While the Chargers have LT, they don't need to (or will be otherwise proven later) lean on him as the Colts do Peyton. The Charegrs have Gates, and their defense has teh ability to win a 10-7 game.

I feel that the Colts are also getting favorable matchups in KC and Balitmore. The Chiefs were a mess passing the ball and the Ravens just didn't execute. Remember if the Ravens had not screwed up and scored ONE extra touchdown we're talking about how Peyton choked big time and so on. Until the Colts can put together a solid defensive season I will not credit them for this victory alone.

Scenario... Peyton Manning has a WR running wide open down the sideline 40 yards down field and there's nobody in Peyton's face. How many times out of one-hundred does Peyton Manning miss that throw? Maybe twice.

Why is it that the Ravens just didn't execute while the Colts are flawed? Maybe both teams played defenses that are playing great football. The Colts are playing more aggressive defense and are doing it with a lot more control. If the Ravens caught a ball there was a Colt right there to put a hat on him.

And if it's so likely for their defense to snap out of their hot streak... what's to stop their offense from breaking loose?

Yea sorry I guess I cant have any confidence in the team I have been growing up watching' date=' keep forgetting that[/quote']

It's funny when you get so defensive.

No one's saying you can't have confidence, but the Patriots aren't his nemesis. Ty Law is. The whole "Patriots are mightier than thou Colts" isn't true. It's Ty Law, and Ty Law alone. Instead of talking about Manning choking against the Patriots again, you should be saying you have confidence that the Patriots can shut him down. Like I said, it wasn't the Patriots; it was Ty Law.
