Maybe the theme song for this offseason should be "Changes" by David Bowie. This game is all about Trot Nixon today. Sure to see a flurry of "We'll miss You" signs towards Trot the dirt dog.

It sounds like the Sox are making every effort to play todays game. Trot will lead off today, no Manny, no Wily Mo Pena, no Pedroia.

Also paying homage to these Red Sox who might be off to other teams come this spring, couple might just retire. This is not a time to bring up arguments about the present time (what happened in my attempt at a Tribute thread to Trot), just look back on some of your favorite memories.

Gonna be sad if Trot Nixon ends up not being a Red Sock next year. The guy spent 13 years with us and was a big part of the 04 World Series team. I know that I'm going to miss seeing the guy in a Sox uniform. Thanks Trot for all the memories. As for the season. I felt it was still a decent year, I mean common look at all the injuries this team suffered what else can we expect from them. Now I'll be waiting for the offseason to see what the Sox do in terms of Trades and Signings and such, and we are most likley gonna to see some big moves made. Either way I can't wait bring on the 07 season.

Great victory to end the season

 

-- Above all Devern Hansack again showed moxie, this time not allowing a hot in the rain-shortened game. Def deserving of an invite to spring training.

-- Lowell finished his combecak year by belting a 3 run HR off of the Coke Bottle in the 1st inning, giving him an even 20 HRs/80 RBIs

 

6 months of no Sox baseball... Theo thats more than enough time to make some magic
