Zach knows my tone, and he knows I wasn't giving him s***.

I love watching the Mile Wide - Inch Deep fanbase try and explain why they appear to be so vapid. Highly entertaining.

well there's another characteristic of a 5 year old: Entertained easily.

Yeah ok' date=' you go out there and sit in 55 degree weather with driving rain for 4 hours. Sounds like a real good time. Have a nice cold and wet hot doh while you're at it. Maybe a soggy pretzel? Can't beat that![/quote']

Another wimp. People were out on golf courses in NY on that day. I'm not surprised that the average Yankee fan isn't as tough as the average golfer.

A soggy hot dog? That would ruin your day. Hey ORS, how would this wimp do in the marines?

Half of the people the baseball fans are met fans. Bandwagon met fans at that. So that use of stats is not valid. Try something else.

It's perfectly valid. There are 8,000,000 more people in the NY area. If only half are Mets fans, and half don't like baseball, then there are still 2,000,000 more Yankee fans in the area. The MW-ID, my new accronym, can't get 1% of those to show up? Impressive.

Going to a baseball game isn't exactly the same thing as being in the marines.

The difference between Sox and Yankees fans one month from now is that one fan base will be watching their team in the playoffs while the other will have already moved on to football season...taunting from sox fans is pointless right now.

YS hold 55 K.So even if all those people wanted to go, and they do, they wouldn't be able to. There goes that stat as well.

This taunting isn't happening if esb26 doesn't make his s***** comment, and it wasn't even about the Sox, but about Sox fans. That's a smack in the face. It might not upset you, but I don't like it and I'll speak my mind. I'd appreciate it if you just refrain from commenting if you don't have stones to put someone in their place.

OK, well I'm not continuing this pointless argument anymore. I know most yankee fans are devoted. Think of it as a lake. There are parts where it's shallow, but most of it is deep. RSN devotion is supposed that of an ocean and yet people leave before the game is over. Do I believe the average Sox fan is more devoted than a yankees fan? Yes, but there are very intense yankee fans, at least 55 K of them. That is all I will say on this.

It isn't "not having the stones", it's not having the stupidity to attack Yankees fans on their loyalty. Just look at this site, just as many Sox fans lost interest when they lost.

a700hitter started this awhile ago. When I saw sox fans leaving fenway, I thought it was ironic so I commented.

Just saying it doesn't make it so. Besides, you can't seem to grasp the concept. You said they could get 35K like Fenway does. They would need another 20K to fill the Toilet. 20K is 1% of the 2,000,000 more -- your number not mine -- fans they have. Thus, they couldn't get 1% of their extra fans to show up. Try and keep up.

Why should I come to this board and post "WE LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I wasn't here for that. Why not quote him if your comment is directed at him? Putting it out there in the open is an invitation for hard remarks.

I think all fanbases are equally full of s*** and full of themselves. When someone comes and talks some smack about my fanbase, I return in kind. You turn the other cheek. Ghandi would be proud.

That's funny.

I get the feeling there are still as many people on this board, just not posting during games. Jeez, I posted for a few minutes but I had to distract myself with something OTHER than watching the game because it was so f-ing bad. So I just surfed the net (yeah, I'm cool :harhar: ) instead.

I'll just say it though: this team is as dead as any Sox team I've seen in awhile. I can't wait for next year!

Becaues I saw him in the thread so I knew he would see it.

No s***, Sherlock. But when you quote someone that directs your comment at them. Unquoted comments are open to all. I guess that makes it: Mile Wide - Inch Deep - Not Bright........nah, then my acronym would be too long.

Oh, I'm sure. Tickets are expensive now, if you buy them you would still go even if the team is out of it just to see the team.Maybe the not the seats way up there, but 35 K would def show and thats how many can be seated in Fenway. This isn't 2000, there are not nearly as many bandwagoners as there were, and the one's left don't buy tickets. If anybody's acting like a 5 year old, it's you giving Zach a lot of s*** just because he wasn't sure if you were addressing him.

And wouldn't be nice if we played 162 homes games? Think before you post.

I'm sure there has been a response to this already, so, sorry if you guys have totally moved on and I'm a little late.

He wasn't giving me s***, he was pointing something out that was actually painfully obvious and I acted stupid to it. ORS would expect that if he did something stupid, someone would make light of it like he does to others. Please don't defend me or say that I'm getting s***. I'm not, and I don't need your defense. Thanks.

EDIT- I was really freakin' late.

so if had dug up the comment, you would have said nothing? Why do I highly doubt that?

I'd rather golf in a hailstorm' date=' then watch a baseball game. Just my opinion.[/quote']

But what about football? Growing up in VA, the best time -- $$ and less golfers on the course, to play was Sunday in the winter. 40 degrees out, windy, fairway hard a rock -- although that gave you an assload of roll on your drives.

maybe you did say something stupid, but it came off to me as something I wouldn't want said to me. Sorry for defending you.

Oh, so now I get accused of doing what I "might" have done? Dude, you f***ed up, don't throw it back on my "probable" course of action.

Football > Golf > Baseball

I'm sure you're familar with this, but in Florida the 100 degree tempertures, and 100% humidity makes for some terrible golf. Though, it hardly drives crowds away as people continue to wait two hours to hit a shot.

If I ever get up to Virginia in the winter, I might go play 18. I'd rather golf in cold weather anyway.

Me too. I love the winters down here when we get a cold front to push down. Even the snowbirds don't go out when it's 55 and windy. I just got back from a wedding in VT and played a round on a mountain course there. It was 65 with light winds. Ball goes a mile when you get a little altitude and ditch the humidity.

I didn't f*** up. There's no rule saying I must quote a person who made a comment a week ago about our loyalty. It was my choice not to. You were always more than welcome to respond. I was just stating that I did not start this.
