They should. He's better than Seanez/Tavarez, although it appears Tito has moved Tavarez into the longman spot in the pen.

It couldn't hurt for the Sox to take a look unless the word is that his arm is damaged.

He has an 8.70 ERA and has allowed 30 Runs in 30 innings, while allowing 47 Hits for an opposing .353 avg. Maybe sign him to a minor league contract (if he'll accept that) and have him work out any mechanics thats messing him up

Really? I think there are plenty of pitchers that bad. Have you ever seen the Pirates play?

He had a big dropoff in velocity this year. That is a big red flag for a possible injury. No thanks.

Who does he replace? Seanez and Tavarez are, believe it or not, better pitchers than him right now.

This guy IS another Tavarez or Seanez. It's hard to know who would be better than who, but he's not better than them. Both Tavarez and Seanez came to Boston after a decent year (Seanez) and decent few years (Tavarez), and then haven't done much for Boston. Pollitte would be just that... a pitcher who was good but isn't anymore.
