He's an old unaccomplished POS.

Maybe you get rid of Tavarez, but if you get rid of both who do you turn to? JVB is worse than both Tavarez and Seanez. Hansen can only replace one.

 I keep picturing Remlinger in the Red Sox jersey last season. Was he really signed because Clement recommended him or something like that? I know they were buddies in Chicago.

he has an ERA of 14.85 pitching in 8 games for the sox

With a 2-2 count?

Why not? It's happened before. Not to mention, Remlinger isn't the best reliever in the world, Ortiz is the Red Sox top hitter, the Braves are frustrated, and they were down by 4 at the time. The key to intentionally drilling a guy is to make it look unintentional.

There are always bums hanging around the waiver wire.

Don't kid yourself. Manny Ramirez is the team's best hitter.

I love how Timlin's always around the strike zone.

I'm sorry?

Which one of those do you want pitching for the Red Sox? I don't see an upgrade over Seanez.

There's no coincidence. It's just this paranoia everyone has about thrusting young pitchers in at big spots.

Ankiel's main problem was the alteration of his delievery, which led to irrepairable control problems. Not failing in the NLCS.

It's not paranoia. This isn't football. You don't take the time and money to develop a draft pick and then suddenly throw him up there in front of 40 thousand people and tell him to get major league hitters out. There is always a mental element to this game. These players are not robots. Some guys can handle it, like Papelbon, others need time to feel comfortable, and some just fail.

I didn't say I wanted any of them, I was just pointing out that there are options out there.

True, Manny is the best all-around hitter on the Sox. Maybe I should have used "most dangerous" or "most clutch".

Manny is still the most dangerous because he uses all fields. There's no such thing as clutch hitting.

He'd done it the whole year, throughout a pennant race.

The guy altered his delievery, and control problems followed.

wouldn't mind seeing one run come home so paps gets a save situation

EDIT: ask and i shall receive.

Umm... that's a strange request to make. I'd rather the Sox just take this one now.

I'm a STAT man... a weeeeeeeeee baba bado bop.

Of course I don't want to see runs given up./ I just want to see paps pitch... teto was probably bringing him out anyway if it was 9-5

If you don't want ANY of them, then they are probably much worse then Seanez. In turn, you are looking for an upgrade in the bullpen, but the options out there are worse.

Does that make any sense to you at all? This is basically what you said.

Probably have to go outside the organization for a reliever.

BTW Gonzo turns that baby for two
