I mean, wouldnt you guys rather have Hansen on the mound than any of these jokers we've seen from the braves pen tonight?

yes because hes more talented than anyone the braves have in their pen

lol that's ridiculous speculation... maybe he will, but you have no evidence to lead you to believe that other than the kid will probably be a good pitcher further down the road. I'm sorry I just don't see a kid who got drafted last year and is still 22 being "consistant".

I'd like to say I'm just being Devil's advocate, but we always like to point fingers in Red Sox nation. I agree Seanez and Tavarez are terrible, but don't be disapointed if Hansen isn't what you expect.

I saw a lot of Seanez, Tavarez and Hansen in ST this year. I have watched Seanez and Tavarez for years in the bigs. I may be speculating that Hansen can do the job, but it's based on his success at every level including ST. I am not speculating that Tavarez and Seanez cannot do the job. They are proving that on a regular basis. If you think that they can turn it around, I'd say that you are engaging in ridiculous speculation.

Look at Mike Timlin last year... no one got on him abotu that same problem...

What was Timlins ERA and WHIP last year.

Id bet its lower than Seanez's this year

And there you have it...the "BIG INNING" we have been waiting for all year. This game could really be a turning point for this team. That was beautiful. I hope the Yankee fans watching enjoyed it as much as I did.

Can you open the "2nd Place Cafe" back up Youk? I think the Yankees will be there for a long time this time.

It's a sticky situation, I'm not gonna lie. The two have average to above average track records, its just a shame they are falling apart ebfore our eyes. I'm gonna love to see what Hansen can do... but just don't assume he'll be better, is all I'm saying. :)

That's an incorrect statement. Ankiel was ruined because he forgot what a strike was.

And what a coincidence it happened during the National League Championship Series.

Youk tees off and now we have breathing room
They have just snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and they will win this despite Francoma's lameness. Remlinger, the human forfeit, is in. Cox has raised the White Flag.

Seanez does not have an average track record. He had a good year last season while playing in the NL and in the most pitcher friendly park in the majors.

I don't think he will be worse, and the Sox should find out soon if Hansen is the answer, because if he is not, they will need to go outside the organization. Seanez and Tavarez need to be DFA'd. The FO is merely prolonging the inevitable.

Fastball to the ribs of Ortiz. Looked a little intentional to me.

*elbow armor.

Manny made two of the three outs.

Bring Timlin in please.

There's no coincidence. It's just this paranoia everyone has about thrusting young pitchers in at big spots.

Ankiel's main problem was the alteration of his delievery, which led to irrepairable control problems. Not failing in the NLCS.

Wow, didn't notice the guy was that old.

he doesnt seem to pitch well for AL teams. I think hed be a good trade canidate this year

Manny and Ortiz got two at bats each in that inning and got no hits. Way to go Lowell, Coco, Cora and Youk.
