he would be far better and more consistent than the two Bozos, Seanez and Tavarez.

lol that's ridiculous speculation... maybe he will, but you have no evidence to lead you to believe that other than the kid will probably be a good pitcher further down the road. I'm sorry I just don't see a kid who got drafted last year and is still 22 being "consistant".

I'd like to say I'm just being Devil's advocate, but we always like to point fingers in Red Sox nation. I agree Seanez and Tavarez are terrible, but don't be disapointed if Hansen isn't what you expect.

Tito f***ed that inning up. He should have left Delcarmen in, regardless of the fact that there was a runner on first with a lefty coming up. The fact of the matter is, Delcarmen is the Red Sox's best option in the 6th and/or 7th inning. There were two outs in the inning, so there was no need to change pitchers at that point in time. All that it does is hurt Delcarmen's confidence. What Francona is saying by making the move is "I don't trust you to give me one out in this situation".

But all of that doesn't matter now that the Sox are now back up by 1 as I'm typing this :)

Maybe Meredith wasn't that good?

Sometimes you don't know how prepared mentally these young pitchers are. A few years ago the Cards destroyed Rick Ankiel after him putting in the playoffs.

Hansen is wasting pitches in the minors when its fairly obvious he is making league ready and can help this team. you may not believe that but hansen doesn't have much more to prove in the minors.

I think you're too linear assuming that ERA is the best way to measure a pitcher like Seanez's value. He gives up other people's runs on a regular basis.

Look at Mike Timlin last year... no one got on him abotu that same problem...

That's an incorrect statement. Ankiel was ruined because he forgot what a strike was.
