Also, Lopez should have pitched to McCann instead of walking him on 5 pitches. All he had to do was throw strikes. ITs NOT THAT HARD OF A CONCEPT

the pitch Francouer hit out was a good pitch, but it still was a HR, so Rudy is absolutely to blame

Good points. The silver lining in all of this is that Hansen is going to be up for good soon.

God let's hope so. He and MDC and Paps and Van Buren and Lester should all be getting regular work. This is supposed to be a retooling year and I think its obvious that those guys are just as capable of giving up runs as the shlubs we have in there now.

McCann had a .380/.190 split RHH/LHH.

I think it was a good move to bring him in, but Lopez s*** the bed. But once he walked him, Timlin might have been the better option.

edit - Coco....PLEASE! ONE TIME@!

you guys honestly think hansen is the answer? jeez talk about "anyone but Seanez"... the guy is just not ready... hes doomed for failure if you give him the role seanez has.

we need a lefty in the bullpen and someone who can be able to pitch a scoreless 7th inning.

Lopez and Seanez are not the answers

You honestly think Hansen can't do any better than Seanez/Tavarez? Honestly?

We've needed one since spring training, since they let Myers go.

We don't think he's the answer, we HOPE he's the answer. There's a difference.

Do you have any other ideas?

All I know is that the guy can hit 97 and has had success at all levels.

NICE RIP COCO!

YYou guys are just too linear... you put him in Seznez's role he'll have a higher ERA through lets say... 15 appearances... i gaurantee it. I'd like to be wrong... but I just don't think he's ready. Quote me on this.

Cla Meredith was supposed to be the answer until Tito threw him into the pressure cooker and he got fried.

Gammo was on ESPNEWS earlier today and he said they expect hansen to be up soon and take over the 7-8 inning role. Of course all would be good if foulke can get healthy and come back to form!

Coco was really focused in that AB.

BTW IMO Hansen is major league ready, and he would be far better and more consistent than the two Bozos, Seanez and Tavarez.

What do you "Guarantee" this off of? Gut feeling?

I have the gut feeling that Hansen will help out more than Tavarez will.

Once Foulke comes back we won't need Lopez, either.

I think you're too linear assuming that ERA is the best way to measure a pitcher like Seanez's value. He gives up other people's runs on a regular basis.

everyone has been saying, once we get a healthy Foulke back, that will really help the bullpen. This is true, except for the fact that he hasnt been "healthy" for 2 years now. what makes people think that once he comes back he'll be able to throw 90 again with great control. Sorry, but it aint going to happen. Hes done for atleast this year, maybe his career.
