It looks like the Rangers are waiting for the fastball like the Yankees did. At least the changeup is working today but his curve is still missing. If he could make better use of his off speed stuff then he should be all set.

No conformation of this yet but I got this from another sox board that Riske has been traded for Craig Counsell.....Source he says is the Arizona Republic but I found nothing on there site yet.

If Counsell is scratched from the lineup then it will have more weight. Do you have a link?

As I said no link yet as I already looked at the republic's site. so as I said this is not confirmed.

pretty much I would call it a rumor until there will be confirmation.....but if this trade goes down the Dbacks will be calling up stephen drew.

well back to the game....nice way for beckett to get out of the jam.....oh and in NY melky and damon had a collison causing a swisher inside the park homer.

Can anyone tell me why Beckett hasn't developed a splitter?? It seems like a pitch with that kind of action would complement his pitches very very well. Look at what it has done for Papelbon and Schilling.

 

If Beckett isn't learning the splitter now when he has access to Schilling, then I blame the Sox pitching coaches, unless Beckett has tried it in the past and it hurt his arm or something.

Trot will be batting for Gonzo instead.
