Big let down not scoring runs there. Chacon has to be the most Smoke and Mirrors pitcher I've ever seen. Stuff is unremarkable, command is spotty, but his luck seems endless.

I prefer to call it grit and guts, not luck. After all, all he does is bear down get out of jams when his back is against the wall. There's something there mentally that is more than luck.

Dammit. :(

Here's a question. Does anybody know what that square grate looking thing is on the pither's mound near the rosin bag? :dunno: It's driving me nuts not knowing what it is.

Isn't that for the pitchers cleats?

I believe there is also a knife-type thing there too to pull any mud out of the cleats..

Tomato, tomahto. If he keeps allowing base runners like he currently does, it will come back to bite him in the ass.

from rotoworld....

After hurting his left wrist in the first inning Thursday, Hideki Matsui was taken from Yankee Stadium in a sling and sent to the hospital in an ambulance.

Expect X-rays to be taken soon. Matsui's consecutive game streak is now over at 519 games or 1,769 games incuding his time Japan. Since he didn't play a full half-inning in the field or get an at-bat, he doesn't receive credit for playing tonight.

That fall he put on his hand was RUGGED. I cringed watching that.

Youk with a little more leather. Aren't the Cubs reportedly interested in Snow? If so, they ought to ship him off for something useful because I don't think Youk needs a late inning replacement.

woohoo...

I swear even on routine flies I pray he doesn't f*** it up...

i remember seeing him miss a routine fly ball at Fenway a couple years ago. He was under it, he just dropped it. He also has no arm to play RF.
