Nice 1-2-3 inning for Van Buren. Does anyone else get annoyed with Orsillo and Remy's commentary? They're talking about the NHL Playoffs during a baseball game. I'm guessing the ADD has kicked in.

It doesn't get much more boring than an 8-1 game in the sterile-dome. Yawn. I could just go back to bed (its only noon here on the left-coast)...

 

Bad pitcher + bad lineup + bad stadium/crowd + boring opponent = why did I get up in the first place?

 

We need to do something about this 5th starter thing. I'm saying either Roger (please, roger?) or Lester (get your s*** together Jon). Either would be more entertaining to watch (and care about) than DiNardo.

I'm always amused by fanbases who only come out to games, and only give a s*** about the team unless they're World Series bound.

 

Examples: Toronto and Florida.

Lester has sucked so far eh? 6BB in 8.1IP, 10H, 11K, 8+ERA and 0-3? He wont be ready this yr....

 

I'd say that's a little bit of an early prediction, don't you think? 11 K in 8 IP doesn't look bad at all, and we all know that ERA will regress to the mean, unless you also believe that K-Rod is goign to have a 6 ERA all season, or that manny is going to hit .240. Lester isn't at their level, but we know he's not an 8+ ERA guy.

His K's show his stuff, but his walks and hits are alarming. I know how fluid things go, that is why I used the terms "so far". He may be in over his head, though, and may need a demotion to get his s*** back together...

Besides Lester's recent start saw him go 4 innings, 2 hits, 0 Runs, 0 Walks, 6 Ks

Duncan has actually kinda turned it around. He was under .100 for about 2 weeks and now he is .259. He is not a guy we are worried all that much about. He is 21 yrs old and plays a corner IF position. We can take our time with him, but our pitching prospects need to get ready faster, as we will need to reload soon. Hughes has been nearly untouchable and just got promoted to AA, so he should be good.

wow you can tell the Blue Jays fans are so into the game. Even at blowouts in Fenway Park & Yankee Stadium, the hometown fans are making noise.

 

Its as quiet as a museum in Toronto.

 

They don't make noise until the World Series.

I didnt care either way. Pointing out that a guy is sucking doesnt usually mean much. Lester will be fine, all it may indicate is that he was promoted a little too fast....

our pitching is no good, only two starter pitcher are good so far, bullpen is no good either.

we need some good pitcher, can we get arroyo back, or some new good guys.

may be papelbone has to be one of the starter.

 

offense is no good either, why we didn't keep muller, how about SS.

gosh, this year could be a long dpressing year for us.

Both. I went to his last outing against Toronto back at Fenway, and he just sucked.

 

Thats stupid. Clement is a good pitcher. He had a great start his last time out. I don't know why some fans refuse to give this guy any credit.
