I heard a Beckett interview on WEEI during spring training, he explained that he was starting to change his way of pitching.. not focusing on K's but just getting the groundball out. Sure everyone loves seeing K's, but who can argue with his ace like results? :)

 

Definately, I don't care what kind of an out it is as long as it's an out.

I feel your misery, I can't login to MLB.TV because MLB.com claims that I have logged in too many times.

 

 

its driving me nuts i cant watch or listen i can only read stuff that is always like an inning and a half behind :dunno:

Harris is so good. He is really a great guy to have fill in. Great AB's.

 

Yeah, Harris and Stern are both great utility players. They both play stellar defense and Harris can steal bases if he has to.

I was being completely sarcastic. Harris looked bad in every AB today.

Harris is not there for hitting. He's there for stealing bases and playing defense in the outfield.

They have something similar on ESPN.com called gamecast on their MLB scoreboard. It's a little more animated; it has a little ball going from the mound to the plate and there is the suspense of watching the ball put into play. However, I prefer the format and appearance of gameday.

same reason Stern was best suited for in his short stay with Boston before being sent down to Pawtucket. Stern was sent down more to work on his offense. He wasnt actually a hard out for pitchers, an 0 for 14 slump.

 

Willie Harris will do just fine as utility man for us.
