Actually, only two words are needed: horrible umps.

Yeah, cuz the yankees never get any breaks on close calls.

Last night easily could go down as a "Torre loss." I mean, I was fuming with anger over some of his decisions last night. What was he thinking!?

Yankees are down by two, runners on first and second, no outs...and he doesn't have Bernie bunting?!?! Are you kidding me? And then, after Bernie hits into a rally killing DP, he doesn't put Bubba out in right field in the 8th?! You need defense late in close games, and Joe didn't give this team that.

Pathetic managing and umps lost last night's game; the bats going back to sleep didn't help, though it wasn't surprising considering they were going up against a no-namer.

Where did I say they didn't? I was just pointing out a horrible call on the part of a horrible ump. That guy had one of the most inconsistent strike zones I've ever seen.

I know you didn't say it. I never implied you did. I said it, sarcastically, cuz it seems like they get more breaks then anybody, and I don't feel bad when a bad one goes against them.

it seems everytime i read a thread on a yankee game i hear ," its because of the umps" im sick and tired of hearing that crap can you just admit you lost fair and square for once

What gives you that idea, that we get more breaks than anybody? I dont know how many Yankee games you've watched lately, but we've been victim of quite a few bad calls so far this season. If Jorgie is called safe there (like he should have been) , thats HUGE and changes the entire momentum of the game and maybe we can pull out the win.

Nobodys saying we lost because of the umps, we're saying Posada was called out, wrongfully, because of the umps. We lost because the Billion dollar batting order couldnt get it done against $300,000 Scott Baker.

im pretty sure it says somewhere here that it was because of the umps you guys lost dosent it? 26 to 6

It also says pathetic managing (which I personally dont agree with. IMO Joe didnt make any horrible decisions. But that's her opinion which is fine.) and the bats going to sleep.

But yes, you're right. I'm wrong, she did say it  Didnt catch that one.

...But at least she didnt blame it solely on the umps

The fact is we didn't last night. The offense wa embarassing, defense and managing was questionable, but if the ump doesn't blow that call the game is tied and anything could have happened. I'm not saying we lost solely because of that, but it certainly played a major role in the game's outcome. To say it didn't would be downright foolish.

Exactly. If the right call is made then that could have been a momentum oush in our favor and who knows, we could have gone on a tear or something.

and i suppose the yanks should be 10-0 too

To be honest I didnt have a problem with Torre not bunting Bernie. Bernie has been swing the bat well of late and we were down by more then 1 run so why play for 1 run? I hate giving away outs anyway.

I agree. Not a problem for me.

Umm... no.

The point was that the Yankees could have won last night's game, but a bad call hurt them. That point is valid.

Crespo, are you really from South Africa?

..dont mean to get off topic, but I just noticed that. Thats cool.

well my point is ,everytime i look at a game threat for the yanks they blame it on the umps

We dont blame the losses on the umps. But when an ump makes a bad call we're of coarse gonna call them out on it, as anyone would.

I'd say your point was too general, and probably an obvious exaggeration, but you'd probably fail to comprehend where I was coming from.

Half-Black, Half-African.

All woman.

No, seriously. I really don't live in South Africa, I really do though.

I actually live in Florida. I don't why I put South Africa.

That's not true. This is the first time I'm putting some of the blame on an ump this season, and I don't think you'll find another example of anybody else doing it so far neither.

the yanks are flatter than a gymnasts tits

tonite they send the ultimate suck bag jarret wright out against santana??

they'll need more than 1 i suspect to beat this guy

how can you blame a single call on a 4 run loss??

a yanks fan calling out the umpires??

you can feel their apprehension about to turn to nausea

MOMENTUM!!!!! If the right call had been made, it would have been tied and then who knows where the momentum and adrenaline take us. The fcat that we were down late drained us emotionally and then we gave up the other runs. I know its not a great excuse, but its a fact of life.

Na, we've gotten on the umps a few times this year. We just havent blamed a loss on them or something, we simply stated our frustrations when a bad call was made. Nothing huge.
