Yeah we saw it the first time and I deleted it because it wasn't confirmed. It still hasn't been confirmed and I'm surprised it's taken ESPN, Boston Globe, and other sources this long report it. Fox Sports had an article on it but they were pretty much reporting that WEEI says that Vinatieri's going to Indy. So pretty much WEEI is the only source on this an hour after Holley reported it which is a bit strange.

ya it's a done deal---on everywhere now. This is from the Globe:

Eyes on Adam

Sports radio 850 WEEI in Boston reported that kicker Adam Vinatieri has reached an agreement in principle to join the Indianapolis Colts. ESPN has confirmed the agreement in principle.

Also, receiver Tim Dwight has agreed to a four-year deal with the Jets. The deal includes a $750,000 signing bonus.

i know you can't say anything bad about the Pats front office, but what the hell are they thinking. They've signed 1 guy this offseason, a decent #3 receiver. They havnt even tried to keep any of their free agents

well if the replacements to vinnaterri and mcginest aren't good. i am afraid we will be back to a 7 win team. maybe more because we have a good coach and a QB. we are deffinetly not close to the dynasty we used to have. but if we win a super bowl, which i doubt, can't say we aren't a dynasty.

Don't you think 7 wins is alittle low. I mean this team still has talent to make the playoffs. There are more like a 10-11 win team right now but depending on if they ever do anything in free agency could improve upon that.

I f***ing Hate The Colts. Don't Give Me Any Of This "thanks For The Memories" ********. If This s*** Is True Adam Is Worse Than Johnny. He Is Nothing To Me And We Must Burn An Effigy Of Him Before The Afc Championship Next Year.

here we go again, well first of all this would the front office fault they had no intention of signing him at all heres a quote from the man himself

It just didn't feel like the right thing to do," coach Bill Belichick said last month at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. "We considered all our options and decided not to tag anybody

there you go ,next time look more into it before you bash a player ,

you know what i would have done the same f***ing thing,if you dont want to sign me ,il go to the next best team and thats what happened, they didnt even make an effort for him. you guys need to stop bashing the players that leave and move on ,to be honest on everything that has happened this off season im not pissed at anyone at all, i just cant wait til the season starts and see how the new players do

The FO is reallly bothering me know. They're ike 20 million dollars under the cap they could have afforded to re-sign at least one of these guys.

They better sign Lavar Arrington now.

First I like to make it clear I'm not a Pats fan. I'm a Panthers fan.

On the subject now. I really wish the Pats don't sign Arrington basicly because they would overpay for a guy who isn't a team player. It seems to also be a trend to overspend on linebackers who have alot of injuries. Arrington also fits in this catagory. I like to see someone like the Chiefs do it, so I can never hear from this guy again.

WEEI is reporting that team sources have said that Bob Kraft has intervened in Belichick & Piloi's philosophy, he is livid they just let Adam walk away like that. Hence yesterday 4 Pats have been resigned or close to new deals with New England.
