What do we do about this spamming problem

I don't know if this is a thread already, but what do you think should be done about this spam... There has to be a way to get rid of it....... right??

I'm working on it. Hopefully increased activity during the season will lead to quicker deletions and bannings. I'll also write something into the registration exlicitly stating some consequences of spam.

No there really isn't a way to get rid of it. When a new member joins you really don't know what kind of poster they are going to be until they actually post. Besides I don't think it really is that much of a "problem". The spam is posted, us mods edit out the spam, everyone on the board ridicules the poster and spam, spammer leaves boards after post, and after being annoying for a maximum of 5 minutes everyone forgets about it. It's usually 1 or so per day, and on a popular board such as this one that is not bad at all. So basically what I say is to just ignore it and let us take care of it, no need to make a big fuss over a small little thing.

Plus sometimes you can get a full length porn video out of it.

Spamming a burden from being a successful and active site.

We used to, but people weren't confirming because spam filters were catching the emails and then the email server here went down, so I took it down.
