im sorry but wasn't T.O. the one that agreed to the 7 yr 49 million deal with th eagles and then 1 year later stabbed them in the back because he wasn't getting paid enough. im sorry but he signed a contract and if you didn't like the contract don't sign it in the first place. the eagles did what they had to do and that was not to renegoiate his contract.

He thought he deserved more, whatever that was the past, he's going to bring some baggage to his next team but I think that they will be rewarded with great play.

might not be able to resign givens if he wants #1 receiver money. not as easy as you think. its not a guarantee that givens comes back especially if there are teams looking to give him #1 receiver money.

I heard on WEEI recently, that the Pats are said to be interested in Falcons' Brian Finneran. Intriguing option. Im hoping for Givens, but I know some team is gonna shell out more $$ than the Pats value him at.

he won't see any big contract ever again because of his conduct. he screwed himself because he couldn't shut his trap and play for the contract that he signed.

Interesting...Givens>Finneran, but if Givens's price is too high, Finneran may be a nice alternative route.

Also, Jerry Porter was rumored to be of interest.

And don't even get me started on T.O. You don't even know if T.O. will have a team next year. Steve Smith came back to being the dominant receiver he was before his leg injury last year. He will only play more, and on a team like Carolina, he will only get better as Delhomme gets better.

didn't jerry porter sign a long term deal last year with the raiders?

Well then he should have got more when he signed his contract, or not signed it. If you give TO what he wants then that makes every player think they can get a new contract every year, and guess what? In a few years ... owners don't have enough money to pay their players because they're demanding a new contract after every game, and the league folds.

i like porter but i don't know if i would give up alot to get him because i would rather just sign givens at lesser money than porter is getting thus you won't have to give up picks or players to acquire him.

interesting tid-bits from rotoworld. One of them being about Tyrone Poole, whom I dont believe will be back in Foxboro.

The Patriots have until the seventh day of the new league year to pay CB Tyrone Poole a $500,000 roster bonus. He is set to count $2.5 million against the cap, a big figure for the oft-injured player. If released, he would still count $1 million in "dead money".

The Patriots "appear set" to invite cornerback Hank Poteat to training camp.

Poteat has joined New England midway through their last two seasons, debuting in the 2004 playoffs. This time he'll get a chance to start with them.

The Bills and Eric Moulds are "way off" in contract renegotiations, according to Moulds' agent. He could be released by the end of the week. "It's not encouraging," agent Harry Henderson said. "Our attitude has been optimistic, but realistically it may not happen." Moulds probably wants a fresh start and could get a nice contract from a team like the Eagles, Patriots, or Browns.

with starks gone and poole on the way out next cornerback or safety should be at the top of belichicks list in the draft and they will most likely use a first round pick to address those needs.

It will probably in the defense, could also be a linebacker ( we're getting a little long in the tooth there also ). I depends on who they release, whats available on the FA market, who slips in the draft, and what the Pats are offered in trades on draft day. Leaks of what the Pats are going to do are somewhat of a joke, Bill B. almost never follows the rumors.

Yeah, I think we definately have to draft a CB in the draft, but then again, he drafted Samuel and Wilson in the 3rd round and 4th i think (prob wrong) but hopefully the prospect can develop fast like Wilson/Samuel.

the only way ty law returns is if he drops his demand for 10 million in bonus money up front. otherwise he can forget about a return engagement in foxboro
