I think right now the red sox are the front runners for millwood, until someone like detroit or LAA decides they are desparate and offers him what he wants, 6 years 66 million. At which point the sox won't even pick up the phone if its Boras on the caller ID.

Getting Millwood to visit Boston so quickly after Damon left seems like it's going to happen quickly and be the precurser for a few of the next moves. I wouldn't be surprised to see Millwood signed for 4/$44-48 in the next 24 hours sometime.

ugh i just heard on weei, that the sox might now make a push for former Yankee Jeff Weaver, who besides Clemens is basically the best starting pitcher thats on the free agent market. Weaver's stats not so inviting, 78-87 record with a 4.44 ERA

absolutly no. I despise him. That would make the FO look so bad. They dont get anyone, BUT JEFF WEAVER. I hate his derek lowe attitude and also the fact that he is not as good as anyone else in the rotation now. It would be a panic move.
