If he's smart he signed a contract long enough to assure himself that he's still there after Bonds retires, because if not he'll never have a chance to win anything in SF.

matt morris grew up just about 20-30 minutes away from where I live (along with Joe Nathan, Rob Bell, Dee Brown, as well as others) and the local paper here (not the NY papers, the Hudson Valley has it's own paper as well) praise these guys like gods. This is going to be back-page tomorrow forr the local paper.

 

BUt anyways, I think he'll be a good fit there, hopefully he can become the pitcher he was a few years back again.

At 32 I don't think it's likely he goes anywhere but down.
