A little of both. JJ had 41, he was pretty amazing. Shelden Williams played great too. Texas pretty much lost the game on the defensive end. Duke shot 52%. Texas did shoot 45% but just was way too bad on the defensive end to win.

Holy crap the Dukies are handing it to UT. I missed most of the game, was UT that bad or was Duke that good.

I'd say it's a combination of the two. J.J. Reddick was ridiculous... then again, he got more open looks than he should've.

I'd say it was mostly that Texas looked bad (The commentators shared that feeling), but that's not to say Duke didn't look great.

wait, so your basically hating on a tema because i like them? correct? dont say it isnt becaus eyou know its true. Oh well, i really dont care. Just to prove you wrong, watch NewMexico Beat washington. washington is ranked 12th, in the country. last year they were ranked what 3? Yes they dont play alot of good teams, good for them. It is possible for them to make it to the top 5. they Choked last year, if they didnt do terribly in the first quarter against villanova garuntee they would have atleast made it to sweet 16. Go ahead and laugh at me for typing this, i couldnt care less.

You f***ing retard. New Mexico is already down 20. Nice... dumbass.

NewMexico is not down by 20 retards, and so what, they will come back in the 2nd. just you kids wait. Oh and Jim Brown i really do not care if you idiots hate me or not, lmao. Its the Internet get that through your peanut sized shape brain.

Regarding Duke vs. Texas, I think it discredits Reddick's performance to say that Texas gave him too many open looks. Sure, he got a few of catch-and-shoot spot up 3's, but a couple of those were absolute bombs from beyond 23'4" after long rebounds. Plus, he created several of his own shots with pump fakes. He played one of the best games of his collegiate career against a team that usually plays pretty good perimeter defense. Tip your cap and say, "Well done".

They did a horrible job of defending JJ. He was able to get open whenever he wanted. All this game did was prove Texas doesn't deserve #2.

That's true, One Red Seat. A lot of them were bombs or were created by himself -- but PJ Tucker left Reddick alone way more than any team ever should.

As for Texas, that team has a lot to learn on the defensive end before they can be considered a true contender.

This kid knows nothing about anything, my god. I mean come on, he's all over the place with his s***** opinions. And he thinks UNM can beat UW. What a f***tard.

BC is playing Maryland tonight. BC needs a big win tonight to prove themselves as not only a mainstay in the top 10, but an ACC force as well.

I wouldn't call them a mainstay in the top 10. I do however think they can put up a good fight in the ACC and get a top 3 finish.

I think if they win tonight, in one of the toughest places to play, they have proven themselves enough as a top team in the nation. Its been a pretty sick game. Craig Smith is absolutely dominating tonight. Both teams look really good.

I'm not saying they don't deserve to be a top 10 team, because I think they do. I'm just saying they're hardly a "mainstay" of the top 10. I don't think you can say that until the end of the season. The only team that is a mainstay of the top 10 right now is Duke

Im just talking in general though. I think its alright to say it now though, looking at the amount of teams that already dropped out of the top 10.

Another note: these announcers just said pretty much flat out that either JJ Redick or Adam Morrison are a lock for player of the year. Talk about saying things prematurely...

I still don't think you can call them a mainstay when they haven't even played 10 games.

I don't think it's premature at all. They are very clearly the best players in the nation. Someone would have to set the world on fire while both of them took a step back to even have a chance at the POTY. If JJ wins everyone will bitch and say he doesn't deserve it, and if Adam wins everyone will suck his ass, so I'm really not looking forward to that award.

You could use the same argument on this too. They havent played 10 games yet. I do agree that either one probably will, and that those two are the best players, but like you said about BC being a mainstay in the top 10, its too early to tell.

Well see I think it's too early to tell about BC because it's way too hard to predict the actions and play of an entire team. It's much easier to predict what a single player will do.

Anyone could be at this point. Im not saying they wont, and one of them prolly will, but I still think you need to look at other people because theres always a chance these guys could fall off. If Michigan State can go most of the way without losing much more I would definitely say Paul Davis, same with Craig Smith on BC. LaMarcus Aldrige, Rajon Rondo. Im not saying these guys will, but they all have an outside shot at it. Morrison and Redick are on another level than everyone else, but you need to just not look at the top 2 guys after 6-8 games. Theres still 20+ more to go.

Very true. The reason I asked was two-pronged...one I think one of them is gonna win, and two I forgot about everyone else.

Paul Davis...ehh what about Ager? :dunno:

Paul Davis has been all around amazing. Hes averaging 20 and 10 so far. Ager is averaging 1 more point, but 7 less rebounds. All around I would say Davis has been better, but Ager has been shooting pretty well.
