05-06 Offseason Acquisition Guide

[26 to 6]

I mentioned in another thread that I keep a databse of offseason acqusitions. This is this year's version. This guide lists all players who were acquired by teams during the 2005-2006 Offseason (October 1, 2005-April 5, 2006) via Free Agency, Trade, Waivers, and Rule 5. Letters before the players name determine what type of transaction it was.

 

If there is a t. before the players name, it was a trade. Of there is a w. before the players name, it was a waiver pickup. If is a 5. before the players name, it was a Rule 5 pickup, and if there is nothing before the players name, it was a Free Agent signing.

 

This list only lists players who were signed by a new team. Not players who were re-signed by their 2005 team.

 

If you see that there is a move not listed (Major or Minor), please make mention of it throughout the thread, with a link (it could even be a link to a transaction page. Doesnt necessarily have to be to a report specifically mentioning the transaction in question).

 

I will not update the list on a daily basis. usually once or twice a week, depending on my schedule. It will not be the most complete list, as I will not be able to list every minor league Free Agent signing, trade, etc. But this list will be pretty damn close to complete.

 

Also, feel free to post transactions as they happen throughout the offseason in the thread. I want this to be a Talksox list, not a 26 to 6 list. I could use all the help I can get.

Also, I would appreciate it if mods, admins, etc. did not update the list. I dont want any conflictions between this list and the list I have on my computer. If there is a transaction not listed, please let me know so I can make the update.
