Interesting move, I wouldn't think that the Bucks would trade Mason but I was wrong. Magloire will help mentor Bogut and thats good for the Bucks, but I see the Hornets benefitting in the long run. Mason is a nice player and very athletic. They also got a 1st round pick in the next draft, and cash considerations. With their Guards, JR Smith and Chris Paul, and Forward/Guard Mason all starters, thats a nice set of Guards/Forwards. Who knows what they can do with that pick. I kinda see what they are doing, overhaul of old crap and putting new/young athletes in.

This move gives the Bucks a 4 man rotation up front with Magloire joining Bougt, Smith and Gadzuric. If Ford is able to return to form and Simmons proves to be a good complement to Redd then the Bucks can go places.

 

As for the Hornets they are thinking long term and should not be taken seriously for another 3 years or so.

I think the Hornets got the best of this trade, they will be on highlight films ALOT. Mason, Paul, J.R. Smith and more, they're ALL great athletes. I think Josh Paul will turn out to be better than Baron Davis.
