Yeah but we also ALWAYS find a way to make rookie pitchers look like all-stars. Kazmir in the future could very well be one of those, but they just scare me. Mainly because we've never seen them before.

AA Portland rejected Sox's request of Jon Lester for tomorrow because they are in the midst of the "AA playoffs", well whoopy friggin do, I think a World Series push is a lot bigger than that

I don't like Dinardo going on Friday. Ay first I thought Papelbon might get the start, then Tito had him in relief Thursday. How about Jeremy Gonzalez? At least he has some starts in the bigs. Even Abe Alvarez.

I'm looking forward to Lenny, for what it's worth. I felt earlier in the year that he should have been up in the long/ spot role over Halama, since his stuff is as good (damning with faint praise) and he has more upside. I saw him pitch a couple games in Pawtucket, and think he showed better stuff than I've seen here. That said, he's got a low margin for error (78 is harsh, but I take your point), so this could be rookie show day if he fades earry... Someone else mentioned Papelbon, but clearly they're thinking about him for a bullpen role even into the postseason, so I doubt he starts again this year-

I think the Red Sox will take 2 of 3 this weekend. They will outslug them tonight, and tomorrow they will get a solid performance from Clement to take the win. Sunday, I think the Sox may get a loss. Facing old friend Lopez will be tough. I look for them to keep rolling for at least the first half of the series.
